Glo Hotel Sello
Location is very good, receptionists were kind and helpful, they recommended programmes, activities, chatted friendly and I could ask for anything, they were available 24/7.
There's daily room cleaning/towel changing, which I find a bit too often. Room wasn't totally quiet (elevator noises, also the central air conditioning working quite loud), however well-equipped, comfy with a queen size bed, and clean. Linen was soft and basic, also the decorations/furniture were modern and harmonized, but furniture/decoration pillows could be more clean. You can choose between 2-3 kind of sleeping pillows based on your preferences, which is great.
Water boiler, cups, teabags, coffee/cream, sugar, honey is provided on the desk - you really need these on the coldest days. Shampoo & body bath that they also provide smells nice & clean, also you can use the Glo textile slippers. I especially liked the bathtub (instead of the usual showers), but I cannot say the same for the water temperature, as it was maximized below 38 degrees or so (not warm enough at all). Wifi strength and coverage was great, I had the highest speed, needed for my work - but had some issues to setup wifi for the first time with the certificates, so that ruined my email profile, suffered a bit with that. This was strange as I didn't have issues at other hotels. Also the wifi password was changed during my stay and I wasn't pre-notified about it, had to ask what happened.
Breakfast at the hotel is a basic one, nothing extraordinary, however great that you can take your tea/coffee with you in case you don't have time for that in the rush of the morning. I especially liked the bakeries and the Finnish cake (Joulutorttu).
One of the main disadvantages is that there's no in-house sauna at all in the hotel, you have to walk some minutes far to the fitness center if you'd feel the need of training or to have a hot sauna. No laundry room either (would be nice in case of longer stays), you need to use the pricy laundry service or do it yourself.
The other thing I didn't like is that there were quite cold in the room and you cannot adjust it as it's done via the central heating system (I was there when it was around -20 the whole 2 weeks) - I learned that the staff can lend you some portable heaters if needed, but I don't think that can be sufficient. Also, I was missing some real Finnish traditional food at the hotel's restaurant (Glo Grill).
This was the 2nd Hotel I stayed in Espoo (been to 5 different ones in Finland) and I must say, I was a bit disappointed compared to others - if we consider the prices and the value you can achieve. Anyway this hotel is a cozy one for shorter stays, with helpful staff and a central location.
