The best place in city center.

Thanks to Trevi especially to keeper of this place and real Italian gentleman Mr. Jean Franco and rest staff. Great location,,very good room 108 and good room service. Very special thanks to breakfasts on the top team for omletes and fresh pasteries and bread. Hope to see you once again. Kind regards, Kirill and Marina,.Russia.

Excellent location Updated rooms

This is a really lovely hotel. The location is excellent and just beside the Trevi fountain. The rooms have been renovated and are very modern which offer air conditioning and WiFi. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this. Cant wait to come back!!

Perfect location

Nice hotel with good service. Best thing was location. Short walk to many attractions! Only negative thing was that breakfast room was quite small and there was no seat for baby. If you travel with stroller so ask to get room from the lowest floor(walkways are quite narrow in old building).

Average stay

I liked this place primarily for one thing: ease of access to the main attractions in Rome with the exception of the Vatican City. Most attractions are within walking distance, including the bus stop of the major city bus tour companies as the hotel is a stone throw away from the Trevi Fountain. This hotel is only good if you don’t plan to spend much time in the hotel room as the rooms are quite small and the bathrooms smaller still. The walls are quite thin so I could hear e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g from the neighboring rooms. The room itself was clean and modern which made up a little for the small space. The WiFi quality is exceptional. The little that I did see of the breakfast was not impressive. Not much variety I ended up eating out.

Great Location, Updated Rooms, Average Customer Service

We recently stayed 5 nights at Hotel Trevi in Rome to cap off our Honeymoon and I was really skeptical about booking this Hotel, but the Location drew me in, and after all these reviews and the fact that I am extremely analytical, I will try and help everyone else out with the honest truth here with pro's and con's. So First let's start with the process from the beginning: Check-in/Customer Service: We checked in relatively lately (10:30) The young receptionist on the Monday evening was very nice, welcoming etc. We get up to our room, which was quiet small, and I look at my booking "Double Superior" and I think to myself what does it look like online on their main website, and it did not match at all. I go down to the lobby and tell the person who had taken over for the young lady and he said "well there's nothing I can do now we're all booked up but I'll leave a message for the manager in the morning" I completely understood, I had booked that hotel the morning of, and with this hotel being on hundreds of different search engines, things happen and it was also 11:30 at night by the time i realized as well so all good. Next morning I go down, manager was there and I followed up, I explained everything, he said no problem, we can give you a junior suite I believe he said but it's in a different building about 100M away, pack up all your things in your room, leave the luggage there, and we'll have it moved early afternoon. I said "ok perfect" sounds great. I'm not sure if he was the manager or not, but although they took action on correcting the room, he wasn't overly apologetic for it, but when we checked into the room, our luggage was there and everything which was fantastic as there was no elevator in this other building. Rooms: For the first night, we were in the Main building, room was small, but updated, clean, and quiet. The rest of the trip we were in the other building which I believe is essentially probably apartments that were purchased and converted into hotel rooms. The Room was big, we walk in, there was a couch and living area with a flat screen, walk down the hallway, bathroom on the left, and then keeping walking to the bedroom, with another flatscreen tv, 3 windows in the room that all opened up so very much to hear everything., air conditioning etc, Absolutely no complaints about the room itself. This external building has no elevator, so I'd recommend asking the person to carry them up the stairs for you because no one should be complaining that "I had to bring my luggage up flights of stairs" when they will do it for you. Breakfast: Was really good, lot's of variety, cooked eggs, croissants, donuts, fruit, yogurt, variety of egg/bread dishes, sausages, there was ample food to satisfy anyone. Location: Trevi Fountain is close, I mean 1 minute walk close, which has its pro's and con's. If you're the type of person that doesn't like obscene amounts of crowds from about 10am till about midnight or so, then this hotel will not be for you, I did not realize how busy the Trevi Fountain was, but whether we walked by day or night it was packed. We walked everywhere, Collesuem was maybe a 10 minute walk, pantheon maybe 10 minutes, we walked to the Vatican which was about a 35 minute walk, Spanish steps within 10 minutes, again, location for this building was incredible. External Factors (Beyond control) - As I mentioned we were in the external building, no reception or anything, you unlock the main door, and then walk up to your room with another key and you're in (No safety concerns at all though). That location is extremely noisy, but this cannot be controlled by the hotel, the noise would last into the early morning till around 2ish, and then start up again by the garbage trucks at 6AM ish, it didn't disrupt our sleep, but it could for others. You could also here the people in the room next to you very clear, again, these are all old buildings (the external ones) and I doubt when they were purchased that they were gutted, sound proofed, and done to the 9's that way. The one night we were in the main building there was no noise at all. Street sellers, at all major locations/tourist attractions, there will be street sellers trying to sell random stuff and will have it all set up. The Trevi Fountain is no exception and being in a hotel so close to it, you'll be walking by dozens of them throughout the day, they don't harass you though but again just an FYI. Overall, depending on price, I might stay in this hotel again, but I'm not sure I want to be in an area that is so crowded 24/7 (again beyond hotel control). The one customer service issue was just the one guy which sometimes that's all it takes to put a small damper on things. I find that it really comes down to Managing expectations, things in Europe are much smaller than compared to North America, and you just can't compare your stays to those of a Ritz, or Fairmont, or Marriott hotel chains.
