Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant in general. But the most amazing thing in this place was truly the service! The staff was extra friendly, and went out of their way to make everything easy and comfortable for us! For example one of the owners drove us from our first hotel to Valz so we wouldn't have to walk with our luggage! Every one working in this hotel is an amazing person. They made the atmosphere so friendly that all the customers also said hello to us. There is no better place to spend your holiday than in hotel Valz ❤

“Great family run hotel”

Spent four nights here near the end of a fortnight’s holiday in Albania. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, the room far exceeded our expectations, tastefully decorated and super comfy bed. Spent four nights here near the end of a fortnight’s holiday in Albania. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, the room far exceeded our expectations, tastefully decorated and super comfy bed. Lovely pool and great selection of music playing at just the right volume. Food in the restaurant was well cooked and reasonably priced and drinks were cold and plentiful. We were made to feel more than welcome here and would gladly return.

“fantastic hotel 5*”

we have stayed at this hotel for 5 days & what an amazing time with have had, i have stayed in a couple of hotel in the area & this is the best by far & even better than alot of hotels in england:) Rooms were fantastic & clean & shower was lovely. restaurant was the best place we ate at & my kids loved the pool & went in it everyday:) wifi is also amazing in this hotel!!!!! But the best part of the hotel has to be your staff...amazing, so friendly & they were always there to help if needed, the lovely girls on hotel reception to the men & ladies in the bar & restaurant:) thank you hotel valz for giving me & my family some lovely memories, my kids cant wait to come back here & will be returning next summer 4 sure:))

“Hospitality gets a 5. Facilities 1.5.”

Were it not for the excellent hospitality we experienced here, we would have given Valz a lower rating. Their guest relations staff is truly outstanding. They made us feel at home. As for the room, the photos are better than the reality. We would put this hotel at a 1 to 2 (max) rating. If one understands that it is a budget hotel in northern Albania then everything is good. If you have higher expectations, as we did, you will be disappointed. It was clean but not nice. If we go back to Velipoje we will likely try a different place unless the owners make some upgrades (bathroom and furnishings in particular).
