We visited Buenos Aires for 3 days and chose Hotel Villon, located in the elegant Recoleta neighborhood, one of the city’s most well-known and safest areas 😊 Since we usually prefer hotels that are either brand new or recently renovated, Hotel Villon turned out to be one of the best options we found: recently opened, modern, and very reasonably priced for Buenos Aires. We stayed here for three nights and were very happy with our choice. The area is beautiful, quiet, and very pleasant, while still being close to downtown. Some attractions can even be visited on foot, which was a big advantage for us. There are also many restaurants and places nearby where you can have dinner or enjoy a coffee, so the location is excellent in that regard as well. We chose not to include breakfast because we wanted the freedom to wake up whenever we liked and keep a flexible schedule each day. The front desk staff were very kind and always willing to help. The rooms are all similar in style: minimalist, simple, but very clean and well maintained. Nothing extravagant, but exactly what you need for a successful city break. One major plus of the hotel is the pool. We spent half an afternoon there, and it was exactly what we needed after two intense days of exploring Buenos Aires: a very enjoyable moment of relaxation. As for the downside, the hotel is fairly noisy. You can hear the doors opening and closing, and in the morning that can become bothersome. Street noise is also quite noticeable in the room. Nesspreso capsules priced at 4 euros are a bit too much, but the first two are complimentary and you do have a Nesspreso machine in the room, which was great for us. Overall, for a three-day visit to Buenos Aires, we felt it was a very good choice, and we would definitely consider staying here again on a future trip.

“Charming Stay with a Few Minor Drawbacks”

The hotel sits in a lovely, safe area and has a beautiful design, plus a coffee machine, a small balcony, and genuinely friendly reception staff—Pablo in particular stood out. The only downsides were the lack of a proper lobby and a bit of mould in the bathroom.
