“Peacefull”

We enjoyed our stay because it was a very calm, quite place. It's a trip back in time. Very quaint. The rooms are small size, but the beds were comfortable, with all crisp white linens. We enjoyed our stay because it was a very calm, quite place. It's a trip back in time. Very quaint. The rooms are small size, but the beds were comfortable, with all crisp white linens. The bathrooms were nicely updated. There is no AC which we thought would be hard to deal with in December, but the rooms stay fresh and we had no problem since the evenings cool down nicely. I loved the trees and the shade they provided. The staff is great! The breakfast of breads/pastery is very good! The town is within walking distance and the best place we visited while in the Mendoza area.

“great find in wine area”

We found this hotel by driving by. It was one of the quietest places we stayed while in Argentina. Our room was small but had a nice view of the large pool. The staff was very helpful in suggesting great places to eat and made reservations for wine tours. There are several top wineries minut… lisää

We found this hotel by driving by. It was one of the quietest places we stayed while in Argentina. Our room was small but had a nice view of the large pool. The staff was very helpful in suggesting great places to eat and made reservations for wine tours. There are several top wineries minutes away. I prefered this area for the great wineries over Maipu. I would easily stay here again.

“Basic but clean hotel in Chacras, CHECK PRICE AT CHECKOUT!”

We stayed 1 night at Hotel San Francisco on a recent business trip. The idea was to stay at a basic and affordable but clean and safe hotel in Chacras. The hotel fits that bill as the hotel was just normal, which in this case was what we were looking for, but it was obvious the the hotel had had better days. Wifi was broken and even after twice mentioning it the staff could not fix it, our room was missing the hairdryer (after calling were told to come down to the front desk to pick it up) and breakfast was very average. The biggest issue we had was with the billing at checkout. We booked it on Booking.com for a specific price (like normal...). At checkout we were billed around a 50% higher rate, but because it was in pesos I didn't notice it until later that day. I immediately called the hotel and was given a runaround by the manager that Booking rates are just an approximate price to get you "oriented" to their price range and it was my fault because I didn't say anything at checkout. I could not believe their explanation. No, oops, our fault we made an honest mistake etc. Anyways, after calling Booking and explaining the situation the hotel called me within 15 minutes offering a refund. It worked out fine, but they had to realize they would suffer consequences for ripping me off before they would correct a mistake.
