from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the owner family with kisses and warm wishes. The background music was enchanting and helped us ease into the delicious anticipation of true relaxation and something unique. Although arriving before our room was empty, we were shown the interior thermal spas, each pool has special properties, and the exterior pools, waterfall, and thermal source in the middle of a meadow. How fortunate to find ourselves looking at the Lanin volcano, with the sound of birds, truly unique forest-- rain and bonsai-- and drinking a special blend of tea, water from the freshest source, and excellent wine. It felt like a magical place, my seventeen year old son, described it as the garden of eden. Between the yoga, hiking and boating offerings and the wonderful meals, we had a chance to relax and experience this exceptional place without distractions of tv or consumerism. What a treat for us! The best thing was the warm atmosphere set by the family owners . Go if you have a chance!

A gem in the Argentine Andes, 2 hours from the nearest town. It opened in December 2009 as a hotel with 12 guest rooms. Built and run by Gustavo Kopyto and his brother Marcelo. A gem in the Argentine Andes, 2 hours from the nearest town. It opened in December 2009 as a hotel with 12 guest rooms. Built and run by Gustavo Kopyto and his brother Marcelo. Very attentive and fun hosts. Seven thermal baths, ranging from 36° C to 42° C. Gustavo, fluent in English, leads a stretch class for new arrivals, and arranges for everything, including guides for the Trek alongside the Escorial (a river of lava) to the base of Volcan Achen Ňiyeu (16k-4/5 hours) and to Chile (16k-4 hours). Marcelo captains the boat trip to Puerto Canoa, where you can see the glaciers on the top of Volcan Lanin. Memorable flora (the giant Cohiue and Monkey Puzzle trees) and fauna (Condors and Giant Red Headed Woodpeckers). Every meal a delightful surprise. A wonderful collection of Neuquén and Mendoza wines. Mate tea. Malena,runs the yoga classes, provides massages and volcanic clay facials. A lovely collection of guests. We stayed there for 5 nights and hope to return.
