“Decent Hotel Close to the Bus Station”

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the bus station. However, as we were dragging our suitcases down a dark gravel road followed by several dogs, I was starting to fear I had the wrong directions. I think we must have taken the back way, however, as the hotel is actually on the corner of a main street (though granted, right on the edge of a dark residential street). It definitely has the feel of a nice mid-size conference hotel, and when we arrived, it seemed there were several tour groups gathered in the bar and restaurant areas. We were only here for one night, but our room was clean, modern, and spacious. I really liked the wood beam ceiling! The shower had great water pressure, though the bathroom itself was a little cramped. We were in a Double Room. The breakfast spread was awesome, and the grounds of the hotel – though we didn’t get a chance to explore them much – looked very nice. The hotel let us store our suitcases for the day while we took a day trip out to Perito Moreno Glacier. I’m glad we didn’t have a car, as the parking lot was very small.

“Great choice in El calafate”

We had a quick overnight here as we flew in that day, visited the glacier and had to catch a bus the next morning. The room was comfy and easy walking distance to the bus terminal. We were tired from our day of travel so decided to have dinner at the hotel. The food was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty.

“Basic but clean”

For the price paid it was an ok stay. The hotel has 4 stars above the entrance but personally I would give it 3. Rooms were very clean with nice linen. There’s no A/C so in summer can get quite warm so we had to have the window open at night, this can get noisy with road noise and barking dogs! Ha… lisää

There’s no A/C so in summer can get quite warm so we had to have the window open at night, this can get noisy with road noise and barking dogs! Hallways are tiled with no carpet so you get a lot of noise from doors banging and children running around. Shower was very good but you can’t have a bath as there are no plugs. Breakfast very basic. Bar service slow and not in a great location. Gym very small and pool not open until 12 noon!
