1) Rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious. 2) Staff were helpful and warm 3) Ground floor is not really a ground floor. You still have to go down a few flights of stairs. The staff assisted with the luggage since there is no elevator. 4) Located in the main street where the restaurants and stores are 5) They should allow the guests to eat snacks in the lobby area since they have no onsite restaurant. There is a small dining table with chairs but they told my daughter she couldn't eat her strawberries in the lobby.

The hotel Sierra Nevada is at the end of the city center / main road in El Calafate, just a block away from the lakeside. Walking distance to the city center is around 10-15 minutes, but there are also restaurants closer by. The rooms are arranged around a small garden frequented by all kinds of b… lisää

The hotel Sierra Nevada is at the end of the city center / main road in El Calafate, just a block away from the lakeside. Walking distance to the city center is around 10-15 minutes, but there are also restaurants closer by. The rooms are arranged around a small garden frequented by all kinds of birds, with little seating outside the room and in front of the lobby, which I enjoyed. The room was basic and o.k. with relatively narrow beds and standard bathroom, but very quiet at night. A drop of bitterness was the breakfast, which was limited, and especially the coffee for my taste was aweful. There is definitely potential for improvement! Please note, that for many rooms ta few stairs have to be taken, in case you are limited in walking.

“Really good place - pleasant surprise.”

From the main road, it doesn't even look as if there is a hotel there, and certainly no parking area. However, it's like a tardis once you go down the steps and enter reception. Rooms are very good, and ours had a lovely decking area outside looking out over the garden. Breakfast was good, lots of … lisää

From the main road, it doesn't even look as if there is a hotel there, and certainly no parking area. However, it's like a tardis once you go down the steps and enter reception. Rooms are very good, and ours had a lovely decking area outside looking out over the garden. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Parking area was at the back of they hotel. Only downside was that the staff were perhaps not asd friendly as in other places we stayed at.

We stayed in a triple room which was spacious and incredibly clean. Bicycles and helmets are available free of charge to guests, but no bike lock was provided. We stayed in a triple room which was spacious and incredibly clean. Bicycles and helmets are available free of charge to guests, but no bike lock was provided. A medium sized supermarket, bars, restaurants and local shops are a short stroll. However, we found the rooms incredibly hot even with the radiator turned off. It wasn't possible to leave the sliding doors open for fresh air as mosquitoes visited in the evening. If you want a bath, you need to obtain a plug from reception. Our room wasn't serviced after the first night, even after leaving the 'service room' sign up all day (we were out from 10:30 am that day). Breakfast was incredibly basic with little variety and the almond milk that was served had turned bad. On a lighter note the plastic fruit was a nice distraction! 😊

Since there is a dog shelter and a street nearby it's pretty loud. Also if you're having a room on the way to the reception and restaurant it's loud. Since our main requirement was a place to rest after an exhausting day - this wasn't the right place for us. Like some other guests already said: The… lisää

Since there is a dog shelter and a street nearby it's pretty loud. Also if you're having a room on the way to the reception and restaurant it's loud. Since our main requirement was a place to rest after an exhausting day - this wasn't the right place for us. Like some other guests already said: The stairs make handling luggage difficult. We managed to bring just one suitcase to make it easier. Sadly the breakfast and coffee weren't good either. Staff is helpful.
