“A comfortable hotel”
The Amérian Hotel is located in the centre of unimpressive Rio Gallegos. The hotel was built in 1990 and offers 74 rooms over 4 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide an acceptable atmosphere. “Comfortable hotel”
Stopped in Rio Gallegos en route to Ushuaia. As a town it is really nothing but this hotel is very pleasant. There were renovations going on but that did not bother me much. I was pleased with my comfortable clean room and good shower. Stayed 2 nights and used the cafe attached which is also pleas… lisää

“Good option for a hotel in Rio Gallegos”
Stayed here in November 2017 on our return trip. This was almost luxury standard, for around €80, compared to our stay on the outward journal at the Hosteria La Posada which was a disaster (see my review on this site)

“Friendly and well priced”
We stayed here for one night. The staff were very friendly and spoke fair English. Reasonably modern hotel, nice rooms, we had a double with bathroom, 71USD per night. No restaurant, but there is an adjoining cafe which is open early until late. Free WiFi available, but the signal was not available… lisää

This was one of the better hotels we've seen for a while - it's clean, well-located, and has professional service.
