Stayed in the motel rooms, which are spacious with excellent kitchen and bathroom facilities (including washing machine and great selection of tea varieties) and the bed was cosy and warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful, did not hesitate to provide extra soap or to assist with early check out. Surprisingly did not notice the noise from the highway either.

Big 4 Stuart Range Coober Pedy was an inviting campsite, despite the staff being somewhat unfriendly upon our arrival. We had a bit of a hiccup with our booking, as we had paid for a site with water and power, but were told that wasn't an option. The website seemed to suggest otherwise, so it was a bit confusing. We ended up settling for a site with power only. The ablution blocks were clean, although dimly lit and a fair distance from our site. However, the camp kitchen was a highlight, and the pool area was also a great We appreciated the short drive to the IGA and bottle shops, or the scenic 23-minute walk. The camp had a good atmosphere, and there were plenty of walking for our dog to enjoy. The on-site pizza and bar was a great addition, offering a delicious meat lovers pizza for $28. It was a good stopping point between Kulgera and Port Augusta, but we felt that there might be better options available. Overall, Big 4 Stuart Range Coober Pedy was a decent spot to rest and refuel, but the staff's attitude and booking issues left a bit to be desired.

We always stay here when in Coober Pedy. There has been lots of changes from last time we were here, one being you can now get a powered site with water, however, the sites at much dearer than the ones with just power. We always stay here when in Coober Pedy. There has been lots of changes from last time we were here, one being you can now get a powered site with water, however, the sites at much dearer than the ones with just power. We chose one without water as we were prepared for this anyway. The service on arrival was excellent and the park looks much tidier from the last time we were here. We believe the pizzeria is now open Monday to Saturday which is good.
