“Great little place for our last minute getaway”

Headed up for a last minute trip to Crowdy beach and decided to stay at Harrington on the breakwall. I was sceptical after some of the reviews but don't believe everything you read! This place has recently been updated, the rooms (and bathrooms) were very clean, and definatley had that "freshly cleaned" smell. We travel alot and generally find motel rooms are just big enough for a bed and a bag, but our room was super spacious and inviting. Beds were clean and comfy and the shower was great. We walked each morning along the breakwall just across the road then relaxed on the balcony with our morning coffe overlooking the water, when it warmed up we read a book on the couch (inside the room) with the morning breeze, then headed to the beach in the arvo. I found the owners friendly and helpful giving us directions to get to local beaches, and eating spots around the area. If you travel alot this little place is one to appreciate. We will be back.

“Place to stay in Harrington ”

Motel room was very comfortable and roomy. Would recommend this place if anyone is looking for somewhere to stay in Harrington. This place was reasonably priced. Bed very comfortable You can sit on the balcony with a view of the lake. Great BBQ set up

Don't judge this motel by the outside. Double room on the ground floor looked like it had been refurbished. Queen bed, table and two chairs,2 small tables for suitcasesand two seater lounge. Tea/coffe,Microwave,kettle and toaster provided. Cutlery and crockery available from BBQ area outside. Seperate Toilet area from Shower and basin. Shower floor was slippery when soaping up so do be careful. This is a 2 storey motel so there is no designated parking even though there is plenty of parking for all vehicles but you may not get one directly outside your room if on the ground floor. The Club Harrington and Thai Restaurant is not far down the road for dinner. We drove there.

“Unwelcome!”

We enjoyed our stay at this motel but actually arranging to stay there was a bit fraught! We phoned to book at just after five (for the following night). The phone was answered but we were told, rather brusquely, that the office was closed, and the call was disconnected. So use an answering mach… lisää

We enjoyed our stay at this motel but actually arranging to stay there was a bit fraught! We phoned to book at just after five (for the following night). The phone was answered but we were told, rather brusquely, that the office was closed, and the call was disconnected. So use an answering machine! We were left not knowing what was happening and when we phoned the next morning, the reception was just as unwelcoming, but we did manage to book on our second attempt. The wifi was unreliable (hopeless) but the room was clean and comfy. We checked out well before the required time, having read the sign threatening a ‘not negotiable’ financial penalty for leaving late. We were comfy and well catered for but never felt welcome the whole time we were there.
