“Pleasant surprise!”

The room was spotless, and for a place with quite a few decades under its belt and heavy traffic in a tourist destination, it was a complete joy. Very affordable. Great towels! Parking is a bit on the lean side, however, I’d happily stay here again.

This place is comfortable, very clean, spacious, and every thing works. It’s close to restaurants, shops, the park and the waterfront. Great and easy parking. This place is comfortable, very clean, spacious, and every thing works. It’s close to restaurants, shops, the park and the waterfront. Great and easy parking. The checking in experience was great with a very friendly welcome. The decor is out of date though, certainly can do with an update. The experience is like stepping back into the 70’s. So as long as you’re not looking for something modern, like us you will love it, took me back to my childhood years😊

“Good location but some concerns”

The resort is a two-story motel with an on-site restaurant and free parking in front of the ground floor rooms and provides free Wi-Fi. The resort is a two-story motel with an on-site restaurant and free parking in front of the ground floor rooms and provides free Wi-Fi. The pool is around the side, next to a BBQ facility, but the grounds need some landscaping. The location is convenient, a few hundred metres to a beach and an easy walk into Huskisson shops and pubs/club and restaurants. The upstairs room we had was comfortable although in need of refurbishment (rusty shower rail, gaps in the wall where the old air conditioner had been installed). The new air conditioner was good, there was a settee, a round table with chairs and a sink and cooking facilities. The manager did indicate that there as a refurbishment program underway and some rooms had been completed. Most of the housekeeping staff worked hard to prepare rooms but some housekeeping staff responsible for the rooms on the Hawke St side (where we were) were very lackadaisical and did not make up our room or provide fresh towels on some days. We had to chase up the manager, who was friendly and helpful, and he personally delivered fresh towels to our room

“Great spot but dated”

My first impression was, oh its OK It's well placed as it's only a short walk to the centre of town. My first impression was, oh its OK It's well placed as it's only a short walk to the centre of town. It's a 2 storey motel that was probably built in the 1960s and has a fresh slap of paint to make it look new. There's a Malaysian restaurant on the ground floor. There was meant to be off street parking, nope, every spot possible taken on Saturday night, had to park on the street. It actually has a very large, nice and deep pool. The BBQ looked filthy but could not tell as the lid was jammed on (there's clean free bbqs about 2 minutes walk towards sharknet Beach). The air conditioner in our room made a terrible noise, when visiting on hot nights it was a choice between staying awake listening to the air conditioner or staying awake due to the heat (they said they'd fix it when we reported it when checking out). The in-room TV pivots nicely so you can watch the blue screen as it's not a HD TV and nearly all channel's they can receive are HD. The rooms are large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. It's about a 3 minute walk to Sharknet beach which is a great little beach. I would stay again.
