We had dinner at Bistro at Shortland hotel on a Sunday night. The snitty was the best Ive ever had, although the "creamy" peppercorn sauce was gravy with peppercorns in it, but the meal was beautiful. The snitty was the best Ive ever had, although the "creamy" peppercorn sauce was gravy with peppercorns in it, but the meal was beautiful. My husband had a rump with mushroom sauce and he said it was the best steak hes had at a pub. Good value, good pub food. We will be back!

“Accommodation”

The only good thing about the rooms is the price. The rooms are small and bare, with shared bathroom and a shared kitchen full of old junk, but no useful appliances. It had a rundown, low end atmosphere.

Also known as Shorties, this place is huge and by the look of it, it needs to be as it was packed. There are many different levels to choose from, and if it’s sport that you want to watch their plenty of screens all over the place. Also known as Shorties, this place is huge and by the look of it, it needs to be as it was packed. There are many different levels to choose from, and if it’s sport that you want to watch their plenty of screens all over the place. There is even a designated kids area for those with younger children. We had mussels which had a fabulous source with it, schnitzel, which there is a large variety to choose from, and I tried three little pigs burger which is a messiest burger to eat I’ve ever tried, but was also very yummy. If it’s a local pub that you want to go to, this is the place for you.
