It was a great, family-friendly stay—we’ll bring our kids next time. The room needed a bit of dusting, but overall it was enjoyable. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, which made it even better. The location was great, with easy access to the vineyards. Highly recommend biking around and wine tasting. Great place to escape the busy life, unwind, and disconnect from technology.

Amazing experience, love the Hunter and now the Hunter Valley Resort and Farm. It’s not five star, however, it is a very special experience. The accomodation is great, the food is first class, and the staff make the place amazing simply because they care, they really care. Extraordinary array of experiences without leaving the resort at all, things like Segways, wine School, vineyard, special events, we enjoyed a theatre restaurant experience. Great pool with a Barby, tennis court, the list goes on. If you have young kids the petting zoo is something they will rave about. I think you can tell we had a ball and are so pleased to write this review to share our enjoyment so others are Ushare to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Hunter Valley Resort and Farm is a relaxing stay in the heart of the Hunter, with wineries within reach. The accommodation is lovely and tidy and very private, and all within an easy walk of the restaurant and bar. The restaurant serves five-star meals at pub prices. Hunter Valley Resort and Farm is a relaxing stay in the heart of the Hunter, with wineries within reach. The resort is great for families with all the animals and romantic for couples alike. We would stay again!

“Comfortable, but dated, run down and noisy”

When we arrived the place looked great for families.we saw activities outside for kids, which is great as we arrived with our 4 year old. The room was very dated and fairly run down with scuff marks on the walls and ceiling. The fan cover in the shower fell off just after my wife finished her showe… lisää

When we arrived the place looked great for families.we saw activities outside for kids, which is great as we arrived with our 4 year old. The room was very dated and fairly run down with scuff marks on the walls and ceiling. The fan cover in the shower fell off just after my wife finished her shower, just missing her head. When it came to the bath, the plug was the wrong size but to the credit of the venue came and dropped one off quickly. Walls are thin between units, with next door talking loudly till very late in the evening. AC was comfortable but the TV is basic with no streaming abilities. WIFI didn’t work but with good Telstra service I didn’t worry about getting the updated password (password didn’t work). Dinner was good and comfortable. Our waiter was professional and the service was top. Overall, this place did serve its purpose for a quick weekend family visit, but probably not the location for us next time.
