Just the overnight stay. Staff at reception pleasant. We did need a physical card to pay the deposit, the system did not accept phone tap. Has the usual essentials . Pump bottle dispensers in the bathroom. Tea, coffee and milk. Large fridge. Iron and ironing board. Safe. QR code for mini bar and room service. Has multiple plugs and charging points and beside the bed which is a bonus. Location was great. Close the Metro which was important for us to get around as we were here for a Concert at Accor Stadium.

“Classic "design" without a designer”

This was sufficient but not great. The room is small, made to feel smaller by the dark walls. It's pokey - the only way to watch TV is on the bed, and the desk is very small. This was sufficient but not great. The room is small, made to feel smaller by the dark walls. It's pokey - the only way to watch TV is on the bed, and the desk is very small. The lighting is bad - The shower shelf is placed in the worst possible location. Two seconds of thought would have made this obvious. The bathroom basin has nowhere to place toiletries. There's also no power socket in the bathroom, meaning you need to use the entry, where the lighting is so low it is hard to point and shoot. The bed was so "marshmallow" that, by night three, my back was in agony. The lifts are always busy and slow, meaning some agonizing journeys up and down. And the front desk always had a slow moving line. Upside - it was very quiet. And the location makes most of the city accessible. I appreciated their New Year's gift.

We booked a deal on Luxury Escapes at Citadines Walker North Sydney. It included 2 nights accommodation, breakfast daily, 2 x drinks at the bar per person per day and late checkout of 1pm. We booked a deal on Luxury Escapes at Citadines Walker North Sydney. It included 2 nights accommodation, breakfast daily, 2 x drinks at the bar per person per day and late checkout of 1pm. On the way to the hotel, we called to enquire about the parking situation. We were given an address for parking and price of $65 per day (one exit only permitted). I asked about the height limit of the park as we have an SUV- was told it’s 1.9 meters. There was lots of other parking around so you may be able to find cheaper. The parking they advise is about 3 mins walk from hotel, and it’s not affiliated with the hotel so if you can find other parking close by for cheaper then take it. Assigned room 809. We had a view of a building and very little natural light in the room. The kitchenette entry area only 2 very small down lights which makes it near impossible to see what you were doing if you want to use the kitchen, or to use the full size mirror to apply make up. Unfortunately the bathroom mirror isn’t much better for lighting and is a bit too far from the sink so I found it difficult to see properly to apply my make up before going out. Our room also wasn’t entirely clean. The kitchenette sink was dirty around the drain, and there was dirty spots and water/ liquid marks on the bench and near microwave. We went to redeem 2 of our drinks at the bar using our drink vouchers. We sat up at the bar right in front of the bar worker and waited to be served. We were ignored. 2 other people who were sitting elsewhere approached the bar and were promptly served right next to me. After the second time I asked the bar tender if I needed to stand up next to my seat tbere to be served? He apologised and asked what we wanted to drink. Not sure if the drink vouchers meant we were to be treated different. The next morning breakfast, we found it ordered off a menu and not buffet. The options are somewhat limited but I think still enough variety. You get to order 1 drink and 1 meal. I ordered the Chicken Panino. It was quite big, but when eating the temperature was inconsistent with the chicken being cold in some spots and the bread not being toasted in some spots. Next morning I had the halloumi roll which wasn’t too bad. Not a lot of halloumi but it did the job. My husband had bacon and eggs and salmon eggs Benny and had no complaints. We set our room to Do Not Disturb after breakfast as we needed to do some work. Approx 11:15am we went to venture out and changed the setting to “clean my room”. When we opened the door. We found a card from housekeeping saying they had been but we had so not disturb, so if we wished for the room to be made up, contact reception by 2pm. I did so right away. My room number was confirmed and I was told it would be organised. We returned to our room approx. 4:30pm and our room hadn’t been made up at all. 2 positives to our room were: - despite being only 8 floors up, the room is quiet. - The bed and pillows are very comfortable and we had a good quality of sleep. Too many issues for our liking and overall we found our stay to be disappointing. Will opt for somewhere else next time.
