the room was clean and there was a microwave in addition to cutlery etc and a fridge. the bed very soft and comfy. My wife said it was too soft for her to roll over easily but I didn't have an issue. When I went into the bathroom there was an odor but it dissipated when the fan was turned on. It was cold outside and the air con worked well. There was an extra quilt in the wardrobe and you will need it on the bed. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy. The room had a chrome cast and we watched one of our streaming services on the TV by casting it from our phone. The free internet was very fast and allowed the streaming. The restaurant at the motel no longer operates.

“Nice place to stay.”

Nice central location, good clean room, very quiet and reception staff very helpful. Everything in the room worked as it should and we were very comfortable. This was just what we were looking for so have already booked to come back for a night in Dec 25.

We were touring around New South Wales and arrived in Wagga Wagga on a Wednesday to find a lot of accommodation booked out so when we found the Garden City Motor Inn had a vacancy we were keen to accept it. We were touring around New South Wales and arrived in Wagga Wagga on a Wednesday to find a lot of accommodation booked out so when we found the Garden City Motor Inn had a vacancy we were keen to accept it. We paid $150.00 per night for 3 nights which we considered to be a bit dear for the accommodation standard. The room was dated but reasonably large with a table and chairs, a sofa and a large bed as well as the usual appliances. Upon settling in we found that the front window which faced the street could not be locked and could be easily opened from the outside. I considered this a safety and security issue for us and our belongings so I reported the matter to the lady who had checked us in. Simply she could not have been more disinterested in what I was telling her about the unlocked window and she even made the statement that there was no crime in Wagga Wagga. However, I thought that after my complaint and simple suggestion how it could be addressed she would at least inspect the window and take some measurements to put a rod in the window track to satisfy my concerns. In addition after the first night I found that the bed was very soft and made my back ache during the day. I also noted that the toilet cistern and seat was in urgent need of replacement due to its terrible aged and worn state. We also found that the tee towels supplied were the size of handkerchiefs and lacked the ability to properly absorb water. In addition we had trouble with the shower going suddenly cold and then suddenly hot again. On the last morning during my shower after it went very cold I had to jump aside as it suddenly became scolding hot. Upon returning the key to the reception lady I advised her of the shower problem and again she showed no real interest and I took the opportunity to advise her of my disappointment in her lack of action to my complaint regarding the unlocked window. Once again she showed that she couldn't care less about what I was saying and offered no apology or solution. We will never return to this motel.

“Good for an overnight stay”

We stayed in Room 10 which is a superior twin room in the back left corner of the motel. It was a good size, clean, private and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen clean. The bathroom was large, and the shower had good pressure and hot water. All in all, the room was a bit dated but comfortable for a night's stay.
