“An absolute gem!”
The welcome from Ron was wonderful especially after I stuffed up my booking! The Slab hut was perfect rustic simplicity with top grade amenities, quality linens and spotlessly clean! “Saltbush retreat.”
What a great place to stay in Longreach. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel welcome and a part of the Saltbush family. Thanks to Nicole and Clint. I will endeavor to be back! Stables were awesome!!

Fabulous experience staying at Saltbush Retreat. We stayed in Slab Hut number 4. Well set up and everything there to make it very homely. “A pure delight!”
What a delight! We stayed in a Slab Hut and absolutely loved it. The bed was very comfortable, the 'hut' was immaculate and included everything we needed during our stay. The location was very handy to all tourist attractions. Atmosphere was lovely - they really run with the outback theme - very nicely done.
