We loved our stay at Freycinet Lodge in a Coastal Pavilion. The setting inside Freycinet National Park is stunning with easy access to the Wineglass Bay / Hazards Beach hike just a short drive away. Our pavilion (Room 62) was beautifully designed with wooden paneling and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that made the space feel open and connected to the landscape. This room, along with 61, is tucked a bit more into the foliage, private and serene. Rooms 63 and 64 offer a mix of bay views and greenery. For those chasing the best views, Rooms 65 and 66 overlook the bay directly, though they’re a bit more exposed to the sun. The large outdoor deck has a dining table, lounge chairs, and a soaking tub. Inside, the living area was comfortable with couches, and the bathroom featured a spacious rain shower. The thoughtful touches made it feel luxurious yet relaxed: complimentary Wi-Fi, free mini bar with drinks and snacks, a bottle of wine on arrival, and even a yoga mat, board games, and a Bluetooth speaker for entertainment. Also appreciated the free self-serve laundry and the breakfast each morning which was a continental buffet plus a hot menu cooked to order. For its high price point, wish front desk service was better. Had booked a Coles Bay Kayaking trip, and the unfriendly receptionist told us to call ourselves to confirm the meeting time. Would have appreciated if they had made the call on our behalf, especially since the trip is run by the hotel. Overall, Freycinet Lodge combines modern comfort with a peaceful, natural setting. Whether you’re here to hike, unwind, or just soak in the beauty of Tasmania’s east coast, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend the Coastal Pavilions.

“A very comfortable venue within the National Park.”

A fantastic location with easy access to the park and wonderful walks. Our room had a Mountain View ( although to be honest ours was more wood, which was still beautiful) and came with an outside bath (don’t worry you can use the indoor shower too). A fantastic location with easy access to the park and wonderful walks. Our room had a Mountain View ( although to be honest ours was more wood, which was still beautiful) and came with an outside bath (don’t worry you can use the indoor shower too). The accommodation was very comfortable with a small deck with chairs. The bar and restaurant had spectacular views over the bay and there was also a bistro which less formal and you could order take away from here, to eat in your room.

(his birthday btw) I was also offered an upgrade for my room and all 3 roomseven had a complimentary bottle of Tassie bubbly! Breakfast was also included! A massive thanks to David and the girls on reception for looking after a bunch of locals above and beyond!

Great place to unwind, we stayed three nights a couple of negatives though as we booked this back in February we thought we would be prioritised better then we were. Firstly we were allocated the furthest unit from the resort where they were doing renovations to the family units on the hill right behind us including floor sanding all day for two of the three days. I walked up to the resort to relax with my book, I did mention the noise and recieved a free drink… Secondly on the last day we ordered Breakfast (part of our package) and patiently waited for 45 mins until mentioning this to staff and discovered they had forgotten our order, waited an hour for breakfast- not happy. But a wonderful place. TIP go to the Marine Farm down the road where Oysters are half the price and fresh daily, yummm.
