We booked the Allurity Hotel because it was convenient to the Budget car rental where we were dropping our rental car off to, they offered reasonably priced car parking, the hotel was a short walk to the MONA ferry, Salamanca Markets, waterfront, we could leave our bags there after checking out and it was convenient to a particular restaurant that we'd booked into. However, when we checked in we discovered that it was close to many great bars and restaurants, in particular the pub across the road was excellent in all respects. A supermarket was close by. The staff were all excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything that you needed- including complimentary coffee pods which were appreciated. Despite being in the CBD it was quiet and we were able to sleep well. Wifi was strong and reliable.

“Central location and well fitted out”

Quality hotel in a central location in Hobart..It’s a bit of a walk to the harbour (say 10 minutes) but the area had a street market on the day we arrived which was a plus.The rooms are well fitted out,the beds are comfortable and the bathroom has the required toiletries.Cost is circa $200 per nigh… lisää

“Good, but………”

We enjoyed our stay at Allurity however we did not enjoy the air conditioning being locked. The room was very cold and we were constantly rugged up whilst in the room. I have subsequently been told that it could have been fixed had I notified reception. Perhaps this is something that reception sho… lisää

We enjoyed our stay at Allurity however we did not enjoy the air conditioning being locked. The room was very cold and we were constantly rugged up whilst in the room. I have subsequently been told that it could have been fixed had I notified reception. Perhaps this is something that reception should mention at checkin as a matter of course. Also, May I point out that there is NOT a hotel shuttle despite what the advertising promo says. The Airport Skybus is a level 11 minute easy walk away provided you don’t have a mobility problem. Our room was very clean and offered all things to make our brief stay comfortable. The hotel is conveniently situated to most things within the city. Would we stay here again?…………knowing what we know now ………….yes we would.

“A convenient location with amazing reception staff”

The allurity is a clean and quiet hotel with the basic neccesities (kettle, coffee machine, fridge, shampoo/conditioner and soaps). All of the front of house staff had excellent customer service. The allurity is a clean and quiet hotel with the basic neccesities (kettle, coffee machine, fridge, shampoo/conditioner and soaps). All of the front of house staff had excellent customer service. I particularly note Michelle, who checked if there was a free room well before check-in and then allowed me to store my luggage in the office when no room was ready. She notified me when my room was available (before official check in time) and offered dining and attraction suggestions during my stay as well as friebdly and welcoming conversations throughout my visit. My only criticism is the decision of the owners to temperature limit the water in the bathrooms. My experience was that I was colder following my morning shower than before getting into the shower. There was no steam or fogging of glass / mirror and the part of my wet body exposed to air, quickly cooled and could not be rewarmed by submerging it under the shower. I did report this issue to reception and they promised to send maintenance and provided a gift of chocolate for my inconvenience. I did not feel much difference on the second morning and reception offered a small air heater yo help warm the bathroom. This was a tremendous help on my final morning. I might suggest that management consider raising the water temperature by a few degrees in the colder months or install a heat lamp to warm the environment. I would forgive the lack of smart tv/streaming services, the lack of house keeping and the locked temperature on the air conditioner if I could have a reasonably warm shower!!!! Our shower at home is also temperature limited..but I can't stand under mine on full hot...so it kind of feels that reducing overheads comes before client comfort..which is a shame because Allurity staff are the most hospitable people that I have encountered in my frequent travels.
