“Another great stay at Balmoral on York.”
This was our 2nd stay at this great hotel. Highly recommend Balmoral on York - it’s well located (near bars, restaurants - good Indian around the corner ‘Pickled Evenings’, the lovely park, the shopping precinct) and we walked to Cataract Gorge from there. “This hotel was better than hotels I have stayed in which cost twice or even three times as much.”
I chose the Balmoral on York because it was close to where I had to conduct some business, as well as parking and breakfast. It was a great pleasure to stay there. Tim, the owner, ensured the simplest of entries by a key left in a small safe at the entrance and a code to open the front door. Therea… lisää

“Decent base”
Good location in Launceston c10 minutes from bars & restaurants. The room was spacious and well appointed, but felt a little dated and would benefit from a refresh. “Beware of charges incurred for accidents”
On staying at the Balmoral on York, I slipped in the shower and on trying to stop myself from falling (I have arthritis in my hip) I pushed the shower door and it banged against the wall, causing it to crack.
