Better than all the rest. If in Sheffield do not miss the hospitality at Acacia. Ann and Nigel are gracious hosts, welcoming and accommodating, friendly but cautious. Could not fault the comfort, cleanliness and ammenities. We would definitely stay again.

What a pleasant surprise after a very very long drive. To arrive at this lovely cottage at the edge of the town and discovered that we were the only guest, this was so amazing. Nigel and Ann has been such a wonderful host and their place is as cosy as it can get. The place gave us such a homely feel. The fireplace was nicely setup every night, much appreciation to Nigel for that. It added such warm glow to the place. Even though we were the only guest, they made it as comfortable for us as possible and it tops with tasty breakfast for both days. More so for the second day, for Ann to come by early to cook for us a nice breakfast with local produce, we really appreciate that a lot. To top it all up, the bed was warm, the shower were great and the location is convenient and close to the main street. We highly recommend this place and if we were to come by Sheffield again, this would be the place we love to stay.

“Nice time and very nice food”

This is about a half a mile walk to and from town. We had the room that has an attacked little sitting area. It used to be the outside and was converted into part of the room. This is about a half a mile walk to and from town. We had the room that has an attacked little sitting area. It used to be the outside and was converted into part of the room. I believe there was one step down into the room. Breakfast was at a sweet little table. Ann is a good cook and many of the items were from her garden. Sheffield was a bit cold when we were there and we appreciated the electric blankets until we warmed up. The heater in the room worked great too. My only complaint is that I wanted a hot bath and loved seeing a tub but the water was not hot enough. We were the only people staying so it was not due to too many people using hot water.

We stayed 2 nights just as the weather (for us) was getting cooler. We're really glad we stayed in Sheffield as we chose it and Acacia as a base from which to explore. We stayed in a family room with a garden view. There is a nice overall ambience to the place from the communal eating area to the lounge and fireplace. The room we had was very comfortable with it's own ensuite and the heating appreciated. We had a sunroom as well but did not make use of that room as it was a bit on the cool side! Still it's a great room for extra storage and if you have young kids - somewhere for them to play. The window coverings were a bit of a let down and could have offered more privacy and coverage. Our hosts were excellent and the included breakfast was fine. Ann and Nigel were very easy going and great to have a chat with. The onsite parking was handy. It's only a 10 minute stroll to the town centre where we dined out on Italian on our first night and at the local pub the second night - both great choices. As I said earlier it was great base to use to travel and we went to Cradle Mountain and the Mole Creek area to explore the caves and the wildlife sanctuary.
