Stayed here during our first family Australia trip. Booked a room with points for 4 people - one of the few hotels in Melbourne that can easily accommodate a family without having to book a suite. Room was very nice - modern and urban (think a much more upscale Moxy) with both a shower and a tub. Bed was comfortable. We received free ice cream upon checking in - our daughters obviously appreciated that. The rooftop hotel - overlooking Victoria Parliament and with sweeping views of CBD was very nice and heated, and next to it were a gym and a sauna with changing rooms. We had our own car, and besides valet the hotel has self parking at an adjacent garage for AUD40 a night. However, the real reason why we are so happy with our stay is due to customer service. My daughter forgot her favorite stuffed animal in the room, and of course we did notice while already on a flight to Sydney. The hotel promptly located the plush toy and sent it to us at our hotel in Sydney for AUD30, promising it would arrive within 48 hours. When that did not happen due to a delay with the shipper, they refunded our fee, contacted the shipping company, and rerouted the toy back to North America for us, for free. Truly unexpected and greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay here again, also as the location is convenient to Chinatown and many other nice restaurants in the area.

“Beautiful hotel in a central part of the city”

We came here for a weekend conference and really enjoyed everything the hotel and the city had to offer. Le Meridien is well located on Bourke Street opposite a tram stop and walking distance to Parliament. We were able to reach many places by foot. We came here for a weekend conference and really enjoyed everything the hotel and the city had to offer. Le Meridien is well located on Bourke Street opposite a tram stop and walking distance to Parliament. We were able to reach many places by foot. The hotel itself is clean and modern but still evokes a sense of warmth and the welcoming atmosphere started as soon as we walked through the front door. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. We made use of the gym and also the room service dining. We also were able to have late checkout at noon. Wonderful! Definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Melbourne and overall had a very good experience, though not quite the full five-star standard the hotel aspires to. The highlights: The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the pillow menu was a thoughtful luxury touch. My room was a generous size for the CBD, and the design subtly compensated for the lack of a view with tasteful furnishings and clever layout. The bathroom was a real standout—beautifully appointed with a spacious rainfall shower and excellent quality shampoo and conditioner. Where it fell short: The in-room tea and coffee selection was surprisingly limited. For a five-star property, I would expect a range of complimentary options such as peppermint and green teas, instant coffee, and even a simple hot chocolate. It was a surprise to discover that plain black tea wasn’t stocked and had to be requested—surely the most universal option of all. Food & beverage: In-room dining was reasonable, and staff were consistently polite and helpful. Breakfast the next morning was extensive with plenty of variety, though I would have liked to see more of those options available via room service, especially as the dining room was quite noisy. Overall: Not quite the five-star experience promised, but still a comfortable, enjoyable stay with several high points. I would consider staying again, with a few small improvements likely to lift the experience even further.

Stayed here for a week on business. Found rooms à bit small with too much furniture. Nice pool.. great coffee shop in lobby.. breakfast was very busy. Good location
