Sonder Paseo is in the ideal location for the visiting tourist since it is within walking distance of most major shopping or subway and bus transit stations. It is only a 10 minute walk to the Placa de Catalunya and the start of the Gothic quarters. The rooms are the biggest I've stayed in any Spain hotel. The bath even has two sinks and a heated drying rack. Other room amenities are safe, iron, kettle, expresso pod coffee brewery, mini frig and a walk out balcony. Some negative things are that rooms are all wooden floors so you can hear the guests above dragging their chairs on the floor. Reception desk is also located on the upper level 1 floor above street level 0 floor. They utilize electronic room keyboards through your Sonder phone app which I had difficulty using to gain entry at the main door. Pillows are also flat as a pancake and I had to ask for 3 to make it equal to good support of one good pillow. The large size of room and location of hotel makes this a good choice for your next stay in Barcelona. We checked out on November 6, 2025 and 4 days later, it was announced on the news that Marriott had pulled it sponsorship of Sonder forcing all Sonder guests worldwide out of its properties. Sadly, this hotel as a Sonder location is not available as of this writing.

This was our 3rd visit to Barcelona and each visit we seem to book closer to the main center of attractions. Sonder was the best we've had in this city located just 10 minute walk from the Placa Catalunya and a little further to the Gothic quarters. We were lucky to be assigned to a room with a walk out balcony with views of the main de Gracia street. Even as our room was located just above this busy street, the sounds of the traffic and people could barely be heard due to the good sound insulation of the windows and doors. The only negative experience of this hotel is that all rooms are wooden plank floors. When guests in other rooms drag their chairs on the floor, the noise resonates through the nearby or rooms below. Hotel staff are usually friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed having this good location for our adventures in Barcelona.
