“Character hotel ”

We stayed at this characterful hotel for 2 nights in room 36. Our double room had a long floor to ceiling window overlooking the river. We found the room to be basic but comfortable. We stayed at this characterful hotel for 2 nights in room 36. Our double room had a long floor to ceiling window overlooking the river. We found the room to be basic but comfortable. The bed was very comfy. There was one easy chair plus a desk and chair, large cupboard and good sized bathroom. Two complimentary bottles of water were left daily. We found the room to be very quiet and heard no noise from other rooms during our stay (room next door was occupied but we heard nothing). Our only criticism of the room is there was no tea or coffee making facilities which is unusual these days. We ate in the restaurant one night. The food was good and plentiful. Breakfast at the hotel was a buffet with good choices of cereals, yogurts, pastries, bread, cheese, meat plus bacon and scrambled egg. The hotel is a pleasant 10 - 15 min stroll into the town of Aarschot and about 10 mins to the train station with direct links to nearby Lueven and Brussels Airport. We had a lovely stay

“Lovely hotel and reasonably priced”

Cosy hotel in central Aarschot. This old mill converted into a hotel is an ideal stay in the area. Ther rooms are clean and tidy and air conditioned. “Atmospheric”

The location is beautiful. As the hotel is in a historic old mill, it straddles the water and gives you lovely views from the rooms. It's also easy walking distance to the town centre, restaurants and bars. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. The style matches the historic nature of the hotel… lisää

The location is beautiful. As the hotel is in a historic old mill, it straddles the water and gives you lovely views from the rooms. It's also easy walking distance to the town centre, restaurants and bars. The rooms are simple, but comfortable. The style matches the historic nature of the hotel. Breakfast is excellent. The service is good, but beware that reception closes fairly early in the evening ( as does the bar). For a hotel that charges this much ( we paid 140 a night), I would expect reception and bar to be open at least till midnight. The only real negative, however, is the thinness of the walls. You can literally hear everything that is happening in the rooms either side of you. Bring earplugs!

The setting is ideal, 10 minutes walk to town, to the bar and restaurant area and the train station. Quite a small place in a converted 16th century watermill. Very friendly reception staff. The setting is ideal, 10 minutes walk to town, to the bar and restaurant area and the train station. Quite a small place in a converted 16th century watermill. Very friendly reception staff. Generally only one person on who doubles up as bar staff and breakfast person. Reception (and small bar) close around 8pm - so you have a code to get in the door. Rooms very minimalist, quite basic. Wooden floor, brickwork and beams, bed comfy, but no headboard. No kettle. Does have hairdryer and safe. Shampoos etc not topped up during stay either. Two bottle of water left daily. Breakfast OK, good cold selection. Only hot items are bacon and scrambled egg. Place seemed to be quiet when I was there. However on one night when it was busier you could easily hear people in room next door, upstairs and in the hall, due to all being wood. Would stay again

“Nice Hotel”

Very good hotel based in an old mill , close to downtown. Less than 10 min by foot. A little bit noisy . Good breakfast and good welcome. Parking available. The restaurant was not available when I was there.
