What can I say. It was a great experience. Normally I stay at hotels but this time I choose for an apartment. It is situated a few steps from the seaside right in the middle of the center of Ostend. The interior is really for people who like design and modern. The owners did a fantastic job on renovating an old mansion tastefully an divided it into 4 spacious apartments. They really though of everything for your comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped and they even offer coffee and tea for free. Very good beds and beautiful bathroom. The living room was great to chill and have a drink or just read a book or watch some tv. Even a little terrace at the back of the building with some chairs. You don't have to foresee any sheets or towels as you stay in Hotel formula. You can park your car in front of the building or at the car park at the other side of the street. (paying) The hostess is a warm and friendly person who really cares about her guests. She even brought us as a welcome a bottle of champagne. As I started this review..what can I say more. When people love their job and what they do you get this result. I understand fully why children under a certain age or pets are not allowed. The furniture and set is really not fit for them. But as I said I had a great stay, felt a warm welcome and will be back for sure. I can recommend this place very highly.

“Excellent luxury appartment ”

Well located, easy parking, luxury and calm. We were with our 2 year old kid and had no trouble as we called before to explain that we didn't know that it is not a place for small kids. As everything of the decoration is expensive... We can understand that there want respectfull clients. Wery well… lisää

Well located, easy parking, luxury and calm. We were with our 2 year old kid and had no trouble as we called before to explain that we didn't know that it is not a place for small kids. As everything of the decoration is expensive... We can understand that there want respectfull clients. Wery well equiped and luxury appartement. The small fire ( gaz cheminee) is so nice! We recommend you this peacefull place instead of the low level hotels of ostend.

We drove down to Oostende from Zeebrugge just after the Brussels "lock-down" alert on Monday 23rd November just after 9 am.We wondered if we had landed on an alien planet as we only saw about3 other cars during our drive and a few solitary trams.Fortunately Oostende was operating normally and I've got to admit that I was really quite taken by this seaside resort even if it was the end of November and the weather was challenging! Maybe it was this lovely apartment I'd found just before we left. We had chosen the top floor mezzanine "de Uhrwerk" and we were not disappointed.From the moment we entered with our electronic code for the door , then the efficient lift right to our flat and then the flat itself which was identical to the pictures on the website.Tastefully furnished with light filled rooms and views to match, this apartment was just glorious to return to on cold November days with your gas fire, underfloor heating, TVs in lounge and bedroom with all cable channels as well as one of the best equipped kitchens I've ever encountered on a holiday let.Instructions for using the Combi oven/ microwave could have been clearer but that would be my only recommendation. The agent met us with a half bottle of champagne which we enjoyed on our first evening. The kitchen has kettle , coffee maker and toaster as well as oven and dishwasher. One odd thing is that the shower room toilet is just off the bedroom and has no door so you need to be on familiar terms with your room mate.I just loved our stay in this apartment which was so close to all the main sites of Oostende, the Kursaal and Casino, Leopoldpark, Wapenplein and the tram stop in Maria jose plein.The tram takes you all the way to de panne on the French border and up to Knokke in the north and only costs 5 Euros for a day ticket. Even in Winter it was wonderful to glide past the wonderful coast with its sand dunes and wild grasses. I visited de Hahn and Blankenberg and was impressed by both towns. A perfect destination too, if you are a cyclist as it is so flat and there are bike lanes everywhere.I hope to return to savour more of Belgium's delights in the Spring.
