We were greeted by Raul, a super friendly, knowledgeable and perfect concierge. He’s working there for 25+ years and speaks better English than many Americans! The property is on its 6th or 7th generation and photos are everywhere from hundreds of years ago. The photos show everything you need to know. There are no true 5 star hotels anywhere in Sucre so as long as you expect 4 star hotels, you’ll be fine. There’s clean rooms and sheets with hot water and a decent breakfast. You won’t find a refrigerator, safe, or heat/air conditioner. Fortunately it doesn’t get cold most of the year. If a gym is one of your priorities, there’s a large one just 5 minutes away on top of the SAS supermarket. Ask the staff at the desk or just use the GPS. It’s a large supermarket. There’s a large area on the rooftop with table and chairs to look out and see the city. Some rooms have a balcony over the street. Ones I. The back are quiet however. Overall, it’s a good location and taxis are super cheap to get almost anywhere. Do bargain if the driver says more than 10 boliviares anywhere in the old part of town. I just took a taxi to the bus station at the far end of town. Very reasonably priced and will not disappoint. Howard S.

“Lovely hotel and lovely people”

Very historic hotel in a great location so close to the central square. Raul is so helpful and really can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your stay. The roof terrace is quite beautiful with lots of chairs and plants and a fabulous view all around. Simple but adequate breakfast. Recommended.

“Disappointing”

Picturesque hotel with a pretty terrace in a very good location 3 blocks from the main square. Our room though was very plain with only the basic of amenities….bed, desk, wardrobe and TV. No heating/cooling, no fridge, no in room safe, no water provided, no tea and coffee facilities. There were no… lisää

Picturesque hotel with a pretty terrace in a very good location 3 blocks from the main square. Our room though was very plain with only the basic of amenities….bed, desk, wardrobe and TV. No heating/cooling, no fridge, no in room safe, no water provided, no tea and coffee facilities. There were no windows to open. Tiny soap bars are provided on the first day. Wifi worked but was patchy. Quite a lot of noise at night from the street so you needed earplugs to sleep. Breakfast selection was pretty average with scrambled eggs the only hot option and they were cold. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

“Boutique hotel”

Boutique hotel with lovely roof terraces and courtyards. Good view from roof. Large room with good shower. Good location Let down by limited breakfast- a lot of food had gone by 8am. Also very limited choice with again lots of things not available in bar. Poor Wi fi if that is an issue for you
