The House of Quineira is a very sophisticated place and at the same time pleasant and peaceful, surrounded by trees. The decor is refined and tasteful, the place is large and very nice. The service is excellent, the staff are very polite. It has a very relaxing resting place. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, with several national and regional dishes. The rooms are large and spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is very good. I recommend strongly this place to everyone. We were in a large and experienced group, accustomed to a hotels of high level and we loved the House of Quineira.

“Beautiful grounds and amazing breakfast”

I didn't stay at this hotel but went there for the breakfast on a weekend. It was amazing, all the food was home-made and delicious. Jam, bread, cake - everything! I didn't stay at this hotel but went there for the breakfast on a weekend. It was amazing, all the food was home-made and delicious. Jam, bread, cake - everything! The staff was very attentive and friendly and the hotel grounds are beautiful with plenty of hammocks and a nice pool area to relax. Great location next to a park and very close to the bus terminal. When back in Chapada dos Guimaraes I would definitely consider staying here.

“Best Stay of My Two Weeks in Brazil”

The grounds are beautiful. I'm so sad our group stayed only one night. The bathroom in my room was gorgeous and large with a hair dryer, hot towel rack and really nice toiletries. Great shower head, but you must let the hot water run a few minutes before it gets hot. The bed was firm (to my liking)… lisää

The grounds are beautiful. I'm so sad our group stayed only one night. The bathroom in my room was gorgeous and large with a hair dryer, hot towel rack and really nice toiletries. Great shower head, but you must let the hot water run a few minutes before it gets hot. The bed was firm (to my liking) with clean white sheets. A/C worked well and there was a ceiling fan. In-room minibar with a few drinks and snacks. There was a Nespresso machine in the room but no pods for it, only sugar packets. There was a small thank you gift on the bed upon arrival. The breakfast buffet was highly varied and delicious. They do need to make some improvements with check-in (very disorganized and slow) and check-out (no change).

Talvez pela baixa estação, mas pelo preço injustificável. Pareceu que estava em uma cidade fantasma. Não se hospede aqui se for durante a semana ou na baixa estação. Os espaços da pousada são muito bons, mas ninguém serve algo, não há opção de lanche, almoço, jantar ou drinks. Os funcionários não sabem qualquer informação útil de passeios, inclusive os básicos, embora sejam simpáticos quando são encontrados. Os mesmos ficam deitados nos sofás relaxando o que ressalta ainda mais a falta de uma gerência que lhes instrua no serviço. I was traveling by myself throughout Mato Grosso, and coming from Pantanal had a chance to stay a couple nights at the Chapada dos Guimarães. I chose this pousada through bookings and relied on property photos. There is one with a glass of wine by a fireplace which had a huge influence in my decision. What a scam... I arrived just before 2pm (check-in is at 3pm) hungry and thirsty planning to have a glass of Chardonnay while I could wait for a snack or somente to eat. For my surprise: no food is available besides breakfast, no wine or drinks because the bar was closed during the day, and should open at 6pm. I relaxed and went to town to have a bite hoping to have a drink at the fireplace latter that evening. However, the employees that handle the kitchen and bar had a personal issue and never showed up. I had dinner at a pizza place in town which was great but will definitely nit come back to this pousada, especially during weekdays or low season. Some specifics: - the facilities and structure are really good. - the room is quite nice with brand new furniture - service is very poor and there is no management - none at the pousada could recommend a place to eat out or had accurate information about sightseeing or tours
