I am a female solo traveller from the UK in my 20s and came to this hotel because I wanted to be very near the beach and have a break from sharing dorms in hostels. It is a great hotel - simple but perfect: - Clean rooms with good air con - Fantastic customer service from the Reception team, very friendly and try hard to communicate with me in English. - Large delicious breakfast buffet - 1 minute walk to Porto de Barra Beach - 1 minute walk to supermarket open till 10.00PM. Definitely recommend if you fancy leaving Salvador old town and maybe on your way to the islands.

“A moisture of hotel and hostel”

This makes a difference, because there's a lot of guests and a lot of interaction with people all around the world. It was carnival and it was a very nice time to stay. The room was big and clean

“Good overspill”

We bought on price - a one night only experience that replaced a much nicer but too-small pousada room. To get a four-berth for £30 per night is exceptional and you'd expect a few deficiencies. We bought on price - a one night only experience that replaced a much nicer but too-small pousada room. To get a four-berth for £30 per night is exceptional and you'd expect a few deficiencies. As other reviewers have noted, tiles are chipped and paint is peeling and the communal areas can seem a bit worn out, but lady - whaddya expect at these prices? The wifi is also very patchy and frustrating. Plus points - generous breakfast, friendly staff who really try and great location right at Porto Barra beach. Pity the lift broke down as I was checking out, gasp puff.....

“Nice place close to the beach”

I stayed in the dorm room here for a couple of nights and I found this to be a nice place. The location close to the beach is excellent and the breakfast was probably the best I had in South America. Like most places the front was done up very nicely and once you got into the rooms a bit less so an… lisää

I stayed in the dorm room here for a couple of nights and I found this to be a nice place. The location close to the beach is excellent and the breakfast was probably the best I had in South America. Like most places the front was done up very nicely and once you got into the rooms a bit less so and of course it felt like a hotel more than a backpackers, because of this the staff seemed a bit impersonal. I thought the cafe next door was good.
