This Hotel is not far from the airport in a safe neighborhood near a mall. At night it seemed safe to walk to the mall although there are no other pedestrians. The mall offers only the usual fast food options. If you have another thing in mind you will have to take a taxi to another area or eat at the Hotel's restaurant. The Hotel restaurant has reasonable food, although it is a little bit pricy. The Hotel's room is clean and comfortable. There is an old AC, but it worked fine. We found a small roach in the bathroom, but besides this the bathroom was also clean. There are 2 reasons why I think this Hotel does not deserve higher ranking. 1. The price is too expensive for the level of the Hotel. We stayed in 3 more Hotels in the trip and this one was the most expensive, but far from being the best. Perhaps, Teresina does not have many options, but other Hotels in Piaui and Maranhao offer better value for the money. 2. The receptionist was very rude. It seemed she really does not like her job and doing you a favor. She did not even answered me when I told her good morning. We waited for the taxi that works with the Hotel for almost half an hour (luckily we had a spare time and did not miss the bus) and when I showed my concern of being late, she did not make any effort to contact the taxi and see what is going on.
