I was very impressed by this local pousada, I had one of the basic rooms and it was spotless!!!! very well decorated a comfortable bed, Strong AC Nice sized bathroom with a large shower A nicely stocked mini fridge that was larger than our average mini fridges A very nice breakfast was served every day The location was excellent when having to get a cab, I would recommend getting the number of one of the taxi drivers and just call them to pick you up where ever you are. There is no uber on the island. The pousada must be well sound proofed as I never heard any of of the other guests while I was in my room. I guess its do to the recent renovations. I was there for a total of 5 nights and could have easily stayed more. Everything on the island is expensive even when using American Dollars this place is the best deal for the money. The staff will also do laundry for you at an additional cost. I paid 50 real for 4 shorts 4 boxers 5 shirts and 4 pairs of socks which came out to almost 20 dollars, I didn't see any laundromats around so you mainly pay for the convenience. The staff at the hotel was excellent I never had any issues or complaints. For those people who complain about no English speaking staff remember that anyone who can speak fluent English would not be working in a pousada unless they are the owner. If you were fluent in French or German would you be working at a bed and breakfast or Hostel in the US? I think not. I would use google translate for some common questions or phrases and that would be it.

“Awesome Stay in Gret Location”

Spent four nights with my son at this well located, 6 room pousada within walking distance of the restaurants, shopping, and beaches. Spent four nights with my son at this well located, 6 room pousada within walking distance of the restaurants, shopping, and beaches. The pousada is newly renovated, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms and a comfortable living area and porch with hammock swing. Renata, the manager took great care of us and was helpful in recommending the best restaurants and even ordering us pizza on one particularly rainy night! A wonderful breakfast was served every morning with fresh fruit, breads, cheeses and meats, yogurt and wonderful Brazilian coffee. Highly recommend this pousada as one one of the great values on this otherwise expensive island. You will not be disappointed.

“Best place to stay!”

This place is wonderful to stay! The bed and the pillows are veryy confort! Breakfast really good, besides the staff, always helpful. Near the center of the island you can find good restaurants, pharmacy, bar and the stores where you can book your attractions, dive, etc. Recomend!

“Well located”

The pousada is located walking distance from the village (Vila dos Remedios) and most restaurants. Nothing fancy, but rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff is really friendly. Besides breakfast, they also have coffee break in the afternoon to recharge before going out at night!
