Hotel Savoy was a little better than I expected and budget travellers might find it a good option in Curitiba. The hotel is well located, a stone's throw from a large bus interchange and in the central part of the city. Curitiba's main historic area isn't far away and it's an easy city to get around anyway. The rooms are inexpensive but, even though they're basic (and small), they are carpeted and you have most things that you need. The beds and bathroom were both good and quite clean. I also heard little noise from outside. The downsides were not having a safe and the WiFi didn't work well. Breakfast was ok - plenty of cake and cheese but there could have been more healthy choices (there wasn't much fruit or other high fibre options). The service was quite good. Staff members were friendly and, although they could have been a little quicker, it was a busy time with Curitiba being a World Cup host city. Overall, while the Savoy has its limitations, it's a place to consider if you're trying to save a few dollars.

The staff was very corteous and nice, and gave us some excellent ideas as to where we could go for dinner, os emergency shopping. they were very helpfurl also in locating places we wanted to go to. We were at this hotel in a group of 9. The staff was very corteous and nice, and gave us some excellent ideas as to where we could go for dinner, os emergency shopping. they were very helpfurl also in locating places we wanted to go to. NO the roon was nbos perfect, far from it, but the towels were large and smelt nice, and breakfast was good. I strongly recommend the hot "pães de queijo" that the cook brings in every now and then. There is an exercise roon, a separate TV room and a parking space.

“Fine for one night”

Not the best part of town but clean accommodation. Decent sized bathroom but small bedroom. Once the luggage was deposited you had to edge round the bed. Helpful friendly staff who were very patient with my limited spanish. Breakfast was plentiful and varied.

I knew downtown Curitiba was not the best part of town, but I didn't expect it to be so ominous looking at night, with a lot of not very savory looking characters walking around the area. I knew downtown Curitiba was not the best part of town, but I didn't expect it to be so ominous looking at night, with a lot of not very savory looking characters walking around the area. Apart from the surroundings, the hotel was what I expected, old and slightly faded looking though still quite clean. The room was large with a huge, marble bathroom, but the placement of the elevator in the middle of the building with rooms built around it made the rooms somewhat noisy. Breakfast was much better than expected. In the end, we got what we paid for, but now knowing how downtown is like, I would probably spend a bit more to stay outside this neighborhood.
