Stayed here four nights and can't praise the entire hotel enough. From the doorman, bell hop, and front desk staff the stay here was fabulous. Our room was on two floors with a separate sitting room with balcony on the first floor and the bedroom with large balcony area on the upper floor. There were 1 1/2 baths as well. The hotel is ideally located within a 10 minute walk of most tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again. Their restaurant has gourmet food at very reasonable prices.

“Good location and excellent food”

The hotel is located right on the bay has a great pool and private dock. The food is very good and the portions are large Try the coconut shrimps ... Very delicious From the restaurant and the pool you have a great sight over the bay and the village

“Beautiful museum--no English translations. Totally misses a chance to educate those who don't read spanish.”

This is a beautiful museum with many historic photos that tell the story of Francisco Villa. Unfortunately there are no english translations of the spanish explanations beside each photo. And there is no recorded english guide that you can use with headphones. This is just sad! It took me awh… lisää

This is a beautiful museum with many historic photos that tell the story of Francisco Villa. Unfortunately there are no english translations of the spanish explanations beside each photo. And there is no recorded english guide that you can use with headphones. This is just sad! It took me awhile to even realize that the museum was about Pancho Villa! We didn't make it through every room--it was too frustrating trying to figure out what was happening in Pancho Villa's life story. I will say that it was a very different story than I learned in my 4th grade California history class!

I have just returned from a business trip to the area. As this is only my second visit to Brazil my basis for comparison is very limited in the region. I have just returned from a business trip to the area. As this is only my second visit to Brazil my basis for comparison is very limited in the region. The only other hotel I have stayed in is the very plush Intercontinental in Sao Paulo. This being said I will give my honest assessment of the property. The hotel staff went above and beyond to resolve my minor issues and to serve my needs. The property in its hay-day I've no doubt was a premier resort! However today it is in a state of disrepair and in dire need of updating. Which, was and is underway now. If the renovations are carried on throughout the hotel as they were in what was to be called the Suit Master, my third and final room, it will be a very pleasant place to stay. It being winter there now the weather left much to be desired. Outdoor amenities such as the pier, pools, hammock, lounging chairs, the swim up bar or the sea breeze patio for the restaurant would much improve the atmosphere. Breakfast was included and a very nice selection. However being an American without an in room coffee maker is almost in humane! Food in the restaurant was well prepared with a very nice selection of entrees and appetizers. I will stay here again when I return to the are for business.
