We stayed for three nights in this wonderful place during our trip down the carretera austral and absolutely loved it!! The highlight was the hiking trip with Don Carlos, Mary-Anna and Pantagon, one of the two adorable St Bernard dogs staying at the property, to Lago Bertrand and the three glacier mountain range: unbelievable natural beauty! The food was excellent and the cabin had very comfortable beds, woodfire stove and wonderful view from the terrace to Lago Negro. The serene surroundings were amazing, but most of all we highly appreciated the warm welcome by the wonderful people working hard to make our stay the best during our trip: many thanks to Belen, Conny, Mary-Anna, Don Carlos, Meira and their collegues! Highly recommended place!

“A lake only for you!”

Hacienda Tres Lagos has the only access to Lago Negro (Black Lake) in which you can swim (during hot days in summer time), go fishing on the shore, take a trekking trail nearby or simply stay a couple of hours enjoying this wonderful nature landscape. Hacienda Tres Lagos has the only access to Lago Negro (Black Lake) in which you can swim (during hot days in summer time), go fishing on the shore, take a trekking trail nearby or simply stay a couple of hours enjoying this wonderful nature landscape. From the Hacienda there is a nice 5 hour horse ride to a high lookout spot where you can see not only Lago Negro, but also Lago Bertrand and Lago General Carrera. If you like adrenaline, they can take you rafting to Rio Baker, with rapids safe but with enough fun to brag about it with friends back home. A place where you should stay for a couple of nights, with nice breakfasts and dinners. As a recommendation contact them when making reservations. Sometimes their web page has some flaws.One of the good things is that you only have wifi in the main lobby which allows you to be really disconnected.

“Chilean Paradise ”

I am writing this as we are leaving tomorrow and feel compelled to say that no one should be concerned with the current state in Chile if you are planning to come here!! We flew to Santiago and then on to Balmaceda and drove down to this paradise on the Lago Negro. We have spent an incredible visi… lisää

I am writing this as we are leaving tomorrow and feel compelled to say that no one should be concerned with the current state in Chile if you are planning to come here!! We flew to Santiago and then on to Balmaceda and drove down to this paradise on the Lago Negro. We have spent an incredible visit here without ANY problems and a first class experience The staff here is wonderful, eager to please and extremely accomodating. The trip from the airport is on a rough, dirt road - the ONLY road to anywhere in Patagonia and you don’t want to make this drive at night. But this serene and first class lodge is worth the trip. Comfortable beds, amazing dining on the lake by a trained gourmet chef - individual attention to ANY requests. The staff is just wonderful. If you want to be greeted by 2 happy, loving, St Bernards who treat you like family, this is your place! We can’t recommend this lodge highly enough The struggles of the Chilean people are REAL but here you feel that Nature makes it all go away - even if temporarily. Just go...you will not regret it. Very well located to activities and nearby. Stay, relax and enjoy the dogs and take a custom prepared wood burning hot tub under the sunset.
