The setting is undeniably beautiful, with a well-maintained garden and a lovely view over the lake. We stayed in a chalet facing the pool, which was spacious, well equipped, and had comfortable beds. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and generally very helpful. That said, the food experience did not match the standing of the place. While breakfast offered a wide selection of both sweet and savory items, the quality was disappointing, especially the fake juices and the coffee: It is hard to understand how a hotel of this level only serves instant coffee. We were also unfortunate to be there during fly season. Large amounts of insecticide (DDT) were sprayed throughout the garden without any prior notice, which was quite worrying, particularly with children playing around the pool. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but the experience was diminished by these issues. Additionally, as it was low season, several services were unavailable (limited restaurant service and a closed pool bar), which further reduced the feeling of a luxury stay.

We stayed here for one night at recommendation of our travel agent. The rooms have a living room, bedroom and toilet attached to bedroom. Connected rooms are also available. Both Living room and bedroom had standalone AC units that allowed us to set temperature of each room independently. Pool lo… lisää

We stayed here for one night at recommendation of our travel agent. The rooms have a living room, bedroom and toilet attached to bedroom. Connected rooms are also available. Both Living room and bedroom had standalone AC units that allowed us to set temperature of each room independently. Pool looked good but was closed by the time we reached after the sound and light show at Abu Simbel Temples Dinner was good. Buffet style. All beverages including water are charge extra. Breakfast was decent - we had time for just an omlette and it was super tasty. Coffee was Nescafe instant. Convenient location - about 5 km from Abu Simbel temples and 4 km from ABS airport.
