Remember to book the restaurant in advance as well as try their wine.

“Excellent”

My wife's family moved from this village 5 generations ago. So we wanted to stay here, and what a wonderful stay it was. Weinhaus Zum Krug was in this village when my wife's ancestors left town, and while the exterior may be the same the rooms are modern, stylish and spotlessly clean. The highlight… lisää

My wife's family moved from this village 5 generations ago. So we wanted to stay here, and what a wonderful stay it was. Weinhaus Zum Krug was in this village when my wife's ancestors left town, and while the exterior may be the same the rooms are modern, stylish and spotlessly clean. The highlight however, was dinner in the restaurant. An absolutely superb meal. I had local venison and my wife had scampi. No words can do these meals justice. Matched with the delicious local wines in the ancient yet well maintained building this meal is one we will remember for ever. The owners and staff were so helpful and friendly, and spoke excellent English. We had the added bonus of being seated with a couple from Hamburg, whose company was a highlight and an excellent way to share a fantastic meal.

The most amazing part of this hotel are the outer facades. The paintings are amazing. The buildings are around 300 years old and full of history. The room we had was huge and well furnished. The most amazing part of this hotel are the outer facades. The paintings are amazing. The buildings are around 300 years old and full of history. The room we had was huge and well furnished. The bathroom bigger than so many other Hotel’s room we had in many other places. The management and staff were very friendly. The only point which didn’t made me happy was the price which was a little bit over my expectations, but of course one needs to consider that this area is extremely busy with tourists coming to visit the wine makers.

I have stayed here for the second time, first time in the modern part, Now as we wanted 2 rooms next to each other in the old part. The modern rooms are nicer and more stylish, but also the other rooms are quite big and clean ( just the design leaves room for improvement ). The rooms can be loud as… lisää

I have stayed here for the second time, first time in the modern part, Now as we wanted 2 rooms next to each other in the old part. The modern rooms are nicer and more stylish, but also the other rooms are quite big and clean ( just the design leaves room for improvement ). The rooms can be loud as you can hear when people above you are walking or when the are opening and closing the rooms next to you. Moreover there is a train line close by which you can hear clearly starting from 5.30 am even on weekends. The service run mostly by family had been very friendly, though. They offered special food ahead of dinner time for our kids at low price and high quality. I did not get to taste a lot, but I believe the restaurant is very good and creative.
