This hotel is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It had absolutely everything we required. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A good breakfast selection is also provided. The sound proofing is very good and we liked being able to open a window. It’s around 30 minutes walk from train station and 20 minutes to historic city centre (at a tourist walking pace)

“Front desk went above and beyond.”

This is my go to hotel in Malaga. The staff especially Sara at the front desk were awesome. I cut my finger with a knife and they helped me out. No request was a problem. The rooms were spotless and large. I had the best stay. Thanks so much

“Fine for a short stay”

The room is a good size as is the bathroom and all the fittings are well maintained. Whilst we didn't use it, the kitchen is well set up if you want to self-cater. The room is a good size as is the bathroom and all the fittings are well maintained. Whilst we didn't use it, the kitchen is well set up if you want to self-cater. The breakfast area can get very crowded as it's not that big. The hotel tries to manage this by asking you to book a 30 minute window for breakfast. On our first morning the kitchen struggled to keep up with the number of guests. We were much earlier on the second morning, so it was more comfortable for us. Parking can be difficult near the hotel so you might need to drive around for a while to find a spot. At least its free. "Suites" is a bit of a misnomer as there was only a table and chair; no settee or comfortable chair. No restaurants in the immediate vicinity and a 25 minute walk into the main part of town. The staff at the reception desk were always willing to help and smiling.

“Average stay, let down by poor planning.”

We had a very average experience at the Staybridge. We expected better than what was offered, especially seeing the gleaming reviews. The reception staff were very friendly and we were checked in quickly. The room was quite large and well laid out. Unfortunately, there was quite a few "Curly" hairs on the bedding. There were a selection of hairs in the bathroom, on the shower tray and stuck to the walls. Otherwise, the room was very clean so it was let down by this. The breakfast was the worst experience we've ever had at a hotel breakfast. For the size of the hotel, the area is tiny. You cant move without bumping into someone and getting to the breakfast items was stressful and chaotic. Everything is poorly placed, simply because there isn't enough room. Tables were never wiped clean (2 mornings and never saw a cloth being used anywhere) and each morning we had to get tissue to clean the tables and move the last persons dirty plates etc. The staff were not exactly doing nothing, it was just chaos all round. They struggled to keep up with demand, frequently running out of food. It wasn't even full, I couldn't imagine what it would be like in peak season. "Clean" plates and cups were usually grubby, meaning you have to pick up a few before you found a clean one. The quality of offerings was just ok. The location isn't great. Its a 20+ minute walk to the centre. We thought this wouldn't be an issue but in reality, it is too far. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Because of the breakfast problems and location of the hotel, I wouldn't recommend.
