“Wonderful rustic hotel just outside main town”

Got the last parking space nearby, clean functional room, rustic charm, great views, light and airy large room, comfy bed, dated but good shower, mini fridge and Tv. Good basic breakfast nice selection of pastries, etc. interesting dining room with viewing areas down into water mill workings.

We just came back from a two night stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything was very clean and the room was pretty and comfortable. The lounge and the patio are what really stand out though. Absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing with the constant sound of water. Just a five minute walk to the old part of the town. Wonderful breakfast which even comes with a few homemade goodies. And extremely welcoming and friendly personnel! Very recommendable, great value.

“Stylish conversion of an old mill”

This small hotel is a stylish conversion of an old mill, with the mill race exposed beneath the building via glass floors panels. The large rooms are comfortable, and the rocking chairs are a nice touch. Parking is not at the hotel, but on the main road nearby.

Albarracin as a whole is amazing, and I would gladly return many times to wander the narrow alleys, climb the mountains, follow the old walls, and generally spend time getting to know this wonderfully preserved medieval village a bit better. Albarracin as a whole is amazing, and I would gladly return many times to wander the narrow alleys, climb the mountains, follow the old walls, and generally spend time getting to know this wonderfully preserved medieval village a bit better. This hotel, however, would not be my first choice were I to come back. The rooms were very basic, and the service was pretty indifferent. There is no place to park next to the hotel - a problem for all the hotels in this tiny town, I imagine - but the reception person made absolutely no effort to help. I had a pretty heavy bag and some back problems, and he just gazed indifferently as I labored up two flights of stairs. I thought that was simply impolite as well as unprofessional - he must have been 20 years younger than me. The idea of the hotel is a nice one - a renovated old mill - but it's not really done very well. Lots of opportunities missed to make this a really special place. And sadly, because of its location, the rooms have no views at all, which is really a shame, given that the whole point of visiting this place is the amazing panoramas. So- an OK place, but I'd try three or four others before spending money here again. I guess the thing that bothered me the most was the total lack of help in getting bags to and from the car, which is quite a hike. That just seems mean, frankly, as well as poor hotelier practice.
