Excellent friendly family hotel with great staff, quiet and clean rooms and a very rich and yummy breakfast. This hotel was a great value and very conveniently located in the center of Formigal, close to restaurants and the bus to go to the ski lifts. In the lobby, there is a ski locker room for storing equipment, and there is also access to the hotel to drop off and pick up luggage. There is also information available about the local restaurants in the lobby. They also have a game room, but we were too tired after skiing to make good use of it.

Hotel Tirol is a fine family hotel that provides excellent value for money in Formigal. Hotel Tirol is a fine family hotel that provides excellent value for money in Formigal. There is a very homely bar and salon with a terrace that has splendid views across the ski resort and down the valley towards Panticosa. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and in keeping with the requirements of a ski resort. The front rooms of the hotel has panoramic views of the mountains. Breakfast is well provided and the buffet is replenished so that there is always a full range of food throughout the breakfast period. Although there is no evening meal, there are restaurants and bars very close by. The hotel is staffed by excellent people, especially Natacha who was very helpful and friendly. There is private parking outside the hotel and a secure ski store for equipment. Altogether, this is a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our experience and stay here. For a ski resort hotel, we couldn´t fault it.

“very warming staff and perfect location to ski”

I spent some days skiing in Formigal and this was the perfect location to stay. Only 20 M from the bus to the tracks, with very convenient support services and easy access to all amenities. Nightlife was great and not expensive. The station is great, always fun and unexpectedly large.

This is a simple clean and friendly hotel. Spanish is the first language but we always found someone on reception to speak English. We had no problem booking and the room we were given is what we had requested. The twin bed room was basic. Beds relatively narrow (for you Americans do not expect twin queen size beds here, these are probably 3 feet wide). The mattresses are thin but overall beds were surprisingly comfortable after a day's skiing. There was plenty of storage with cupboards and drawers. The bathroom was bright and clean, although again not large. Clean towels every day. Bath small for someone 6 foot but the shower was amazing, powerful and hot at all times of day. My only warning is that the walls are thin. A good night's sleep is in the hands of your neighbours. It is possible to hear conversations and ablutions in adjoining rooms and in corridors. I found that a real shame - why would you build a hotel with no sound proofing?
