We enjoyed a three night Easter break here and were very satisfied. The hotel is in a breathtaking location, though a bit awkward if you want to do lots of day trips as you can't drive fast along those roads. We had a room in the attic which was charming, with stunning views, a comfortable bed and just about enough room for us both to get around. The bathroom was not designed for tall people, havinga steeply pitched roof, and therefore you had to hold the shower head in your hand, but the water was hot and abundant so I'm not complaining. We had booked half board and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the set menu, although a decent bottle of wine or more choice from the menu will cost you more. The food was tasty and plentiful. The breakfast was standard Spanish fare, but we managed to make a picnic for taking on our walks from what was on offer! As an English expat, I take my travel kettle and tea bags with me so I can enjoy my morning cuppa. Don't expect to find one in Spain! The staff were friendly and attentive. We speak Spanish so I couldn't comment on their English, but our waiter was very helpful and advised us on local trips to do. We had a small problem with the bathroom plumbing which we told the receptionist/manager about on our way down to dinner and he had it fixed before we'd finished. The only downside was that the room walls were paper thin, so we were woken up by the children next door. But overall it is a very peaceful location and all you hear is the sound of the waterfall. It is not a luxurious hotel, despite its pool, jacuzzi and sauna, but it is very good value for money and in a magical spot in the heart of the mountains.

“Great food & service at a good price with stunning scenery”

On a drive from Cangas de Onís to Oseja de Sajambre we stopped to take in the views around the beautiful cascada (waterfall) and decided to save our picnic for another time & have lunch at the Puente Vidosa hotel. On a drive from Cangas de Onís to Oseja de Sajambre we stopped to take in the views around the beautiful cascada (waterfall) and decided to save our picnic for another time & have lunch at the Puente Vidosa hotel. We were glad we did. The menu del dia (set menu) was 3 courses with a great choice. My sons chose a spaghetti bolognese to start with (yes it's not very Spanish but reportedly very good), but I opted for the Fabada Asturiana which was excellent (and it's a dish I've been eating for 34 years). For mains I chose oxtail - beautifully long-cooked, succulent & tasty - whilst the boys chose the trout with bacon which was fresh and well grilled. Desserts of flan (eggy creme caramel) and ice cream rounded off a satisfying lunch for 10 euros each which was somewhat more than it would have cost in a large town but in these surroundings was good value. Lovely service from a patient waitress too. Good stuff, recommended.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel which has a location 'to die for' in the middle of the gorge called Desfiladero de los Beyos in the Picos de Europa. This very good value hotel is clean and very comfortable with adequate sized rooms and a restaurant which serves a simple breakfast and a small table d'hote evening meal (they were able to offer my husband gluten free options especially for him although it didn't run to gluten free bread but that was to be expected). Waking up in the morning to the smell of fresh country air, the waterfall beside the hotel and the tinkling of cowbells from the hillside across the road was just idyllic! Up the hillside, above and behind the hotel, is a small swimming pool with sundeck and loungers.
