We enjoyed our three night stay in this very well run family hotel. Everyone was very friendly, even though we don't speak much Spanish, and they really wanted to make our stay pleasant. The food in the dining room was home-style cooking, freshly prepared and very tasty and the breakfast was the best value we have seen for a long time. There is good undercover parking in a garage which keeps cars cool. We thoroughly recommend this hotel.

“Beautiful small family run Spanish hotel”

This lovely Spanish local hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. We stayed 4 days whilst touring and walking locally. This lovely Spanish local hotel does exactly what it says on the tin. We stayed 4 days whilst touring and walking locally. The family owners speak only Spanish, but as previous reviewers, we just all muddled through. The hotel is kept beautifully clean, food is freshly prepared and excellent. The small town is so peaceful, with easy access to well-signposted walks. We didn’t want to leave.

“Rural apartments in a village dominated by the monastery”

We stayed in one of the apartments owned and run by the hotel, but chose to eat our meals in the hotel. We stayed in one of the apartments owned and run by the hotel, but chose to eat our meals in the hotel. The apartment was modern and equipped with toaster, but no kettle, a few saucepans, an oven and 2 ring electric stove, large fridge freezer. A double bed and a sofa bed were located in the main room with a circular table. It was a very pleasant stay for 2: but as we experienced 2 days of rain, it would probably be small for 4 adults. Ideal for a family. A cleaning pack was provided as guests were expected to leave the rooms as they found them. The hotel served a good breakfast which was taken in one of the restaurant rooms when the hotel was busy, in the bar when quiet. The restaurant serves traditional food of the area. There are other restaurants within walking distance. The town is dominated by the Monistary which may be visited. There are several interesting villages and the gorge, about 3 km away is well worth a visit and to see the eagles and vulchers a visit to lerma to the parador (palace) is within easy reach. An area rarely visited by foreigners - we recommend it.

“Comfortable bed, claustrophobic feel”

The room itself was spacious but because we had a street level room, we had to keep the curtains closet to have a sense of privacy, so that gave to room a claustrophobic feel. Thankfully, we only stayed one night. Breakfast was well stocked and varied.
