We weren't staying at the hotel but, as is the custom in Toro, trawling around the streets visiting the bars. This place is located on the main drag next to the Plaza Mayor and like the other bars in the area you can sit outside or under the colonnade. When we visited our observation was that the tapas selection was very poor compared to many of the other bars around however it is still a great location to sit, admire the view and watch the world go by.

“Lunch plaza Mayor”

Stopped for lunch in the cute village of Toro. Parked just outside, under Torre de reloj. Walked onto Plaza Mayor and had lunch outside. Nothing special, but not expensive either. Only 1 person doing the entire terrace.

Hotel Zaravencia is a good option if you want to stay overnight in Toro. Particularly because of the excellent location, right in the centre of Toro (Plaza Mayor). Hotel Zaravencia is a good option if you want to stay overnight in Toro. Particularly because of the excellent location, right in the centre of Toro (Plaza Mayor). Otherwise, rooms are as good as you can expect in a hotel of this category (***). Some small disadventages: * No parking place in site nor in the vicinity. The hotel advises to park the car in Plaza San Agustín (200 m. to the East), but this is the meeting place for tourists arriving to Toro, so that it is very difficult to find a slot before 6pm. * The hotel is very small. The same person is in charge of very different tasks and you may be have to wait. That was the case with us. We had to wait some 10-15 minutes to be checked in and again for breakfast. * The breakfast is not spectacular. But it is included in the price of the room, which was not high.

“Mediocre food on plaza”

I did not stay in the hotel but ate there. They have outside seating which is really lovely because they are on the Plaza Major but the food was really mediocre. Would not recommend. I have eaten there in the past and it was good but they must have changed cooks. The food looks roughly the same but… lisää

“This hotel isn't in Zamora where it gets listed if you search for hotels in Zamora.”

I spent some time trying to find this hotel. Fortunately, I hadn't made an advance booking! Luckily also, we were on bikes, as the location marked was in a pedestrian area. This seems to be a bit of a problem here as a number of other places we looked for didn't seem to exist in Zamora.
