We stayed at Bob Arte Madrid for 7 nights & booked two studios for 4 adults. We were side by side on the same floor which helped as we were one family. From start to finish, the Bob Arte team was very communicative and helpful. Taxi/Uber drivers all got lost upon arrival, so asking for specific directions from the Bob Arte team and setting up their WhatsApp number in advance is beneficial. 1. We selected 2 cosy studios perfectly designed for space, functionality & design 2. Each studio came with a mini kitchen- oven, kettle, toaster and stove top and plenty of kitchen utensils as well as a much needed washing machine with provided detergent in a very clean bathroom. 3. We were on a higher floor so we hardly heard any traffic and each studio has ample heating on chilly nights. 4. They provided one free cleaning service where they cleaned thoroughly and provided fresh towels. 5. They also kindly provided a welcome basket with coffee and cookies, a free tote bag for shopping and a recommended list of places for breakfast. 6. The studios are very clean, well located and close to the Frontera metro, grocery store & a pharmacy. 7. A great close by restaurant for dinner is El Roble- good food and friendly service. 8. More importantly and most appreciated, one of my family members became ill and the Bob Arte team advised that they have an agreement with a health clinic where a doctor can come to the building. We of course used this service, and it was tremendously helpful and such a relief. Many thanks to the Bob Arte team of thinking through such detail

“Comfortable Stay for party of 5”

The 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment fit our traveling party of 5 (2 couples and a senior) during our busy time in Madrid. We had the common area to chat as well as separate bedrooms for quiet time. The 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment fit our traveling party of 5 (2 couples and a senior) during our busy time in Madrid. We had the common area to chat as well as separate bedrooms for quiet time. We appreciated the complimentary washers (with soap) on the first floor of the building with drying racks back in the apartment. While there was no front desk for inquiries, response time (via WhatsApp) was immediate. The beds (and the sofabed for my mom) were comfortable; walk-in showers had good pressure; and we had 3 different breakfast place options. The kitchen had a corkboard with local info, a polaroid camera so that we could take a picture of ourselves to leave behind, and a Bob W Arte canvas bag to take home (and advertise the place!).

“Well worth it”

Great little place to stay. Beds were very comfortable. Everything works, TV included. Great Cafe just around the corner and supermarket 5min walk away. Had everything you needed. Great little place to stay. Beds were very comfortable. Everything works, TV included. Great Cafe just around the corner and supermarket 5min walk away. Had everything you needed. Only one problem, we were in 109 and our friends were in 309. In between we had kids running up and doing the hallway until at midnight i had to whack the ceiywith the broom and they finally stopped. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

We cannot praise Bob W 's team enough for the excellent service, availability and cheerfulness, even when replying to the many questions we had before and during our stay. We booked the "Homey" apartment for a week of work in Madrid. We cannot praise Bob W 's team enough for the excellent service, availability and cheerfulness, even when replying to the many questions we had before and during our stay. Upon entering the apartment we immediately noticed the nice setup and the impeccable cleanliness. Bob W advertises ‘Ridiculously Clean’, apartments, and they are not kidding. Absolutely spotless, even by our finicky standards. A little gift of coffee and crispy rolled wafer barquillos was a thoughtful touch. :) The apartment was on an upper floor, which was great: nice view and quieter than a lower floor would have been, considering the busy (but wonderful!) Atocha neighborhood. Almost directly across from the building is the Mercado de Santa María de la Cabeza, a fabulous food market, and the Mercadona supermarket is on the top. Bob W recommends neighbourhood cafes and they are lovely. What more could anyone need? The windows are brilliantly soundproofed and ventilation in the apartment is excellent. Also impressive are Bob W's initiatives to be climate-neutral. The eco-consciousness is apparent in the apartment. No superfluous plastics anywhere, organic shampoo and body wash are supplied in the wonderful, roomy shower stall with a Rainfall Shower/Handheld Shower Combo (a friendly little reminder to turn off the water while lathering up is a cute detail :) ) and even little portable water bottles are loaned to the guests. One sleeps extremely well on the very comfortable double bed. We did however mention to them that the mattress tended to be extra soft on the edges, which made sitting on the edge of the bed clumsy. As the only other places to sit in the apartment are two little 'kitchen' chairs, not specifically designed for relaxing especially for a larger person, the addition of a small sofa, or perhaps an armchair, would be most welcome. There would be space! The kitchen is nicely supplied, with a safe, sensible induction cooktop, a large refrigerator, an electric kettle, a French-press coffee maker and a toaster. There is also a washing machine for clothes. Unfortunately we could not use the oven. The instructions were absolutelly impossible to understand, even with Bob on WhatsApp. Some little observations about the kitchen, for those of us who do their own cooking while traveling: 1. A small dishwasher would be useful. There is a laundry room on the bottom floor, so why not remove the washing machine and add a dishwasher? Many travellers appreciate being able to thoroughly clean dishes before using them. Also, the sink is very small. 2. Because dishes must be washed by hand, a drainer above the sink would be more logical than the tiny one that sits next to the sink, occupying valuable counter space. It overflows, and the space between the stovetop and the sink is flat and very limited, so any time a dish is washed, water goes all over the countertop, making constant drying of surfaces a necessity. It's not the best, especially given that the electric(!!) toaster and kettle also plug in on that countertop! There are no architectural barriers, so navigating the building and the apartment is comfortable, BUT it may be important for some people to know: >>> that there is no front desk, and no one is there to meet guests. <<
