“Good rooftop bar”

A really nice rooftop bar, the food and drinks were great (especially the pulled pork brioche) as were views of the castle. Service was a little slow but we didn’t mind as the weather was nice to sit out in.

Excellent hotel all round, the location of the hotel was very central, across from the city hall square and very close to the marina and beach. Plenty restaurants nearby. Excellent hotel all round, the location of the hotel was very central, across from the city hall square and very close to the marina and beach. Plenty restaurants nearby. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spacious with a stocked mini bar and coffee/tea making facilities. Bottled water was provided in the room everyday. Breakfast was very good quality with plenty of varied hot and cold choices. Had a meal on the roof top terrace one night which was excellent with plenty choices available on the menu. Staff were very friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a city break.

“Wonderful views”

This is a tasteful modern renovation of a historic building done with sensitivity. My room was spacious and airy with totally silent air con. Housekeeping was outstanding - everything kept spotless and fresh. Daily water is a nice touch. Reakdast had a wide choice of buffet or made to order dishes… lisää

This is a tasteful modern renovation of a historic building done with sensitivity. My room was spacious and airy with totally silent air con. Housekeeping was outstanding - everything kept spotless and fresh. Daily water is a nice touch. Reakdast had a wide choice of buffet or made to order dishes. The roof top terrace is a high light with wonderful views. The food offering began at 8.30 pm which I find a little late - I’m aware that is normal in Spain . The hotel has a direct competitor a few hundred metres away who offer a wider choice of food and timings but at a different price point. All in all I enjoyed my stay and found everything delightful. All staff were warm and welcoming and eager to help.

“Good location.”

Decent hotel in a good location. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Good views from front and back of hotel, Unfortunately there is a few rooms at the side, one which was ours,that look at a brick wall 3 metres away that pigeons use as a toilet and the highlight of our view was watching one nest… lisää

Decent hotel in a good location. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. Good views from front and back of hotel, Unfortunately there is a few rooms at the side, one which was ours,that look at a brick wall 3 metres away that pigeons use as a toilet and the highlight of our view was watching one nesting.The room was 306 that is directly opposite lift which dings when floor is reached. It didn't bother us but I assume 106,206 and 406 will be the same. The room itself was of a high standard but my wife and I didn't find the bed or pillows comfortable. We were disappointed with attitude of rooftop manageress as one night we were about to order drinks for the sunset and without notice she said we had to move our table , without explanation she picked up our table and my husbands sunglasses landed on the ground , she then proceeded to move another couple in the area we had been sitting which didn't make sense, we left without buying a drink as no apology or explanation was given , she came across as very rude. Would we stay at this hotel again, only if guaranteed a front or back room and courteous rooftop bar manageress. We have stayed in better hotels in Alicante.
