What a wonderful experience .. the views, the tranquility .. I loved the fact that this place was authentic with all it's homely quirks. Norma, you are a great Hostess, a great cook and I loved hearing your anecdotes! Holger, thank you so much for advising us to visit the large waterfall (what an adventure!!) and for your adult ice-cream topping suggestion !! Only regret is .. 1 night wasn't long enough!

“Cosy quaint place in the nature”

Uniquely appealing accommodation with old-fashioned charm nestled on the side of a hill with scenic view of the mountains. Warm welcome by Norma and her son. Comfortable rooms. Basic but delicious dinner - the one item on the menu, Norma´s famous chicken lasagna left us completely satisfied.

The views (as the name suggests) are beautiful from Acra. Despite visiting in the winter, so the pool was a little too cold to jump in, it was still cozy to overlook the sunset/mountains on the terrace until the chill chased us indoors towards the fire. The views (as the name suggests) are beautiful from Acra. Despite visiting in the winter, so the pool was a little too cold to jump in, it was still cozy to overlook the sunset/mountains on the terrace until the chill chased us indoors towards the fire. It was fairly quite while we visited, but it was nice to be abel to sit in the dining area long after we finished dinner and play a game undisturbed. The location is a little more isolated then some other places we’ve stayed though you can still fairly easily drive to some local areas to visit. The room we stayed in was spacious and led out onto the terrace with the view we loved, even if the room needed a little love. It was a good place for us to stay on our drive to Kruger from Joburg and if you want to stay a couple extra days there’s a binder with activities to do within the area (like zip lining) to keep you busy. Or you can relax and soak up the nature, up to you.

“Comfortable lodgings, great location”

Great views in a wonderful location. Simple but comfortable lodge, large rooms, understanding and accommodating host. A really good base for those who want to hike, climb... in this beautiful area. Would stay there again if we go back to the area.
