Absolutely amazing place to stay. Being in the bush and at the same time having very comfortable accommodation good food and great hosts was a pleasure. Walking in a secure environment and having amazing animal and bird sightings was a fantastic experience.

My stay with Deon and Sue at Call of the Wild Lodge was truly an unforgettable experience. Being surrounded by nature in such a warm, friendly, and hospitable setting was exactly what I needed to relax, recharge, and reset from the busyness of city life. The lodge offers beautiful, spacious rooms that are exceptionally well furnished and thoughtfully equipped with every amenity and utility you could need for a comfortable stay. From the attention to detail in the room design to the stunning en-suite bathrooms and unique outdoor showers set in the wild, everything has been carefully considered to make guests feel at home. Throughout the property, there are plenty of comfortable and relaxing spaces to sit back and take in the surroundings. The pool area is particularly special, featuring a striking charcoal-black finish that creates a mirror-like reflection of the surrounding bushveld. Overlooking a waterhole, it provides a beautiful vantage point from which to watch wildlife pass by, while the reflective surface enhances the natural beauty of the landscape and creates a truly tranquil atmosphere. One of the highlights of the stay was the breakfast. Each morning, an abundant and beautifully presented spread was laid out by the pool, offering a delicious start to the day. Enjoying breakfast while overlooking the waterhole and listening to the sounds of the bush made for a memorable experience and perfectly complemented the relaxed pace of lodge life. Deon and Sue are wonderful hosts whose passion for the bush and genuine hospitality make the experience even more special. The reserve itself is teeming with wildlife, including jackals, wildebeest, giraffes, zebras, and many other species. Knowing that wild dogs and leopards are active in the area adds an extra sense of excitement for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. The gardens are equally enchanting, with bush babies frequently making appearances and an abundance of birdlife providing wonderful sightings throughout the day. This was a truly remarkable bush experience, and one I will definitely return to in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature, enjoy exceptional hospitality, and experience the beauty of the African bushveld at its finest

“Awesome surroundings , the hosts Deon and Sue were very friendly and informative about the surroundings”

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great, I would recommend this venue to everyone. The property was great amble around but please be aware that you’re in a wild environment and the animals are are not pets . Practice respect for all wildlife. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

The property, situated in a secure area, delighted us all. On the one hand, because of its peaceful atmosphere (restricted access); on the other, because of the warm welcome and kindness of our hosts, who even helped us get the barbecue going. We were able to make the most of the reserve for a walk and spotted some giraffes not far away. The garden gave us the chance to observe a multitude of birds, each one more exceptional than the last. The rooms are very comfortable and welcoming. It’s a shame we only stayed for one night!
