After climbing the crater in Seongsan, where better to hang your hat than at Playce camp. We stayed in the small but comfortable and stylish rooms which were reasonably priced on an otherwise overpriced island. Other, more spacious and expensive rooms were available. The beauty of this camp is that that it has several venues around it to keep you entertained, such as the Spinning Wolf craft beer and live entertainment venue. The other eateries were also very good. A nice place, indeed.

“An excellent value”

Fairly new, efficient, clean and a great location. A smooth checkin-in was appreciated. Nice amenities like facial masks, an ice maker were available; the hotel was minimal yet functional. A room by Seongsan/sea will be better.

For this hotel, I have mixed feelings about it. I have stayed there for 2 nights and the room that I stayed was one of more expensive suites (not a small and budget-friendly one). When I booked this hotel, I was hoping to enjoy its trendy restaurants, café, and other activities this hotel offers (and this is a major selling point for Playce Camp Jeju). Out of 4 restaurants, 1 closed down recently, 1 was not opening for Sunday and Monday (and of course, I happened to stay there for Sunday and Monday nights), 1 is a bar that opens late in the afternoon, and the remaining 1 was a small Chinese restaurant that offers 2 different kinds of noodle. Hmmmmmm, so there was not much of food experience. For activities, after heavy rain, finally Sun came out and I wanted to rent electric scooter at the hotel and I couldn’t since the ground was wet, I was told. For suite room, it has a nice view and that’s about it. There was a hair in the shower, rain-shower was not working, humidifier (honestly I don’t understand why there was a humidifier during hot and humid summer) smelled, and the towels smelled. For service, there was none. There is no trying to accommodate, only notifications from staffs. After all these, still I enjoyed its view, its shop and its café. I think I might go back for its shop and café.
