“Nice hôtel located near the OLD railway station”

Nice hôtel located near the OLD railway station and nearest to see by foot the beautiful old pedestrian wood bridge. You could go easely to see the old folk village but it was with no specail animation in my visit. Room are very clean. Receptionist speaks english.

We stayed here for 3 nights in order to go to Haoho village and see the begining of the Andong Mask festival and for the price we paid were very happy. Hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from the Andong railway station so no taxi needed. We were checked in with the most warm welcome ever although our Korean and his English was lacking. Given a map of the area where all needed bus routes were clearly marked. Very friendly front of house. Hotel is quite old and very traditional. We took a standard double room on the 3rd floor . Lift access. Room was clean and although everything was there, TV, kettle, fridge, complimentary water, in room WiFi aircon and double glazing room was however a bit basic. We had a small sitting area but little storage space. Matress was so hard making this our only issue. Bathroom was Ok, we had a shower, good supply of towels. We had little outside noise however on one evening we could hear the children from a family upstairs running around. This did not spoil our sleep. We had breakfast outside the hotel each morning. Odd numbering of the floors above our floor (floor 3) was floor 5. Location is good very walkable into the town, 5-20 minutes to a good choice of eating places, cafes and restaurants with numberof 7-33s close by.Great coffee place just past Starbucks in town. Not sure that this is the best hotel in town however it represents good value for money and the guy front of house is really approachable.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for one night during our excursion throughout Korea. Not fancy, this already old hotel is nevertheless comfortable and clean. The room we got was little (it comprised a twin bed plus an extra bed, which took some of the room’s space), but it had all the basic stuff. Breakfast was basic but had Western options (bread, butter, milk and coffee) which was important in my personal case. The hotel is also well-located, near the city center, which gives you the possibility of going for a night stroll spending not more than 5-10 minutes to get back to the hotel.

“A Solid 3.5 Stars”

An older hotel but a clean and mostly functional room. Very hard beds and firm pillows which we both prefer; but other UK tour members were not so happy. The room air con / heating can be partly turned off BUT there is under floor heating that cannot be self managed. So a too warm 25 C sleep even w… lisää

An older hotel but a clean and mostly functional room. Very hard beds and firm pillows which we both prefer; but other UK tour members were not so happy. The room air con / heating can be partly turned off BUT there is under floor heating that cannot be self managed. So a too warm 25 C sleep even with the window fully open. A sole tiny lift. Our room had a freezer equipped small fridge but not all tour rooms had this. We were given 6 hand towel sized towels for our room as a couple, but no proper bath mat or normal towels. Others in the Exodus tour group then successfully asked for normal sized bath towels. Our shower over a bath was functional but others commented that their set up lacked a shower curtain; so the rooms seem to vary quite a bit. Easy to access but slow wi-fi once other tour members, etc logged on. Pre-mixed sachets of coffee + sugar + powdered milk were provided in the room but otherwise no sugar, etc is supplied other than some tea bags. A reasonable buffet breakfast was provided but not sure if the Exodus tour organisers had input to having several kinds of yoghurt tubs, fresh and canned fruit, etc, etc that better suits us westerners. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the small CBD where there are quite a few restaurants; but the menu and ordering there is focused on the locals. We only stayed one night so the hotel had less chance to annoy but it is a solid 3.5 stars.

This hotel has a good location just 5 minutes from the rail station & a good shopping, food & market area. The reception was welcoming & the staff explained where we were on a local area map, what was near by & what bus services went to various tourist attractions The room was average size (had a standard room). The bed was firm, but clean. Room had kettle, TV, fridge etc & WiFi access. Decor is dated & a little loud (large flowery wallpaper & black/gold furnishings). Shower is over bath & worked well & toiletries were provided. Location is good - easy access to transport & local shops, food stalls & market just 5 minutes away.
