“Average hotel in need of an update”

I stayed at the AW Hotel for a week near the end of October for work. The lobby is very large and grand with white marble everywhere. The front desk service was good. The agent's English was OK. I entered the room and remembered that in Korea (much like Europe) a room key must be inserted into a slot on the wall for the lights and outlets to function. Once the room had power I saw a rather drab, dated room. The furniture and carpet are clearly old but clean. The beds are very firm making the first few nights of sleeping uncomfortable. The in-room WiFi was very spotty making for a difficult time to get work done periodically. Be sure to step UP when going into the bathroom or you will trip. The bath and shower combo was very odd. The tub was large and probably very good for a long, soaking bath. The shower head was added as an afterthought and was positioned very oddly. This arrangement caused water to spray everywhere the first time I turned on the shower. The rest of the week I placed the shower head down in the tub to avoid that mishap. The thermostat controls were strange. I would adjust the temperature down only to have it go back up later in the day. Each day when I would return from work the thermostat was also back to it's original very warm setting. Oh well. Breakfasts were good with a combination of Korean and western food items. I did not eat at the on-site restaurant during my stay.

“Adequate hotel focused on weddings and events”

We just needed a place to stay one night, so this sufficed. I wouldn't stay longer. The room had no windows, was hot, and had iffy wifi. The breakfast was just okay. Weak coffee, preference for sweet cereals over more healthy options like coffee, mediocre croissants. The staff seemed very young. Ab… lisää

Weak coffee, preference for sweet cereals over more healthy options like coffee, mediocre croissants. The staff seemed very young. Absolutely rigid on no checkin until three. Didn't even review list of rooms that might be ready.

We did not need much from the AW Hotel, so it was satisfactory for an overnight stay. We did not need much from the AW Hotel, so it was satisfactory for an overnight stay. We arrived before the 3 pm check-in, and it was clear that it was a rule that no check-ins occur until 3 pm--even if there were rooms ready. Our room was unusual in that it had no windows, but, again, we were not using it except to sleep. The internet, which is assigned by room, did not always come up with our room number, and I had to move to a certain part of the room to get a signal; otherwise, it was other rooms' Wifi. The room itself was quite warm, and some additional cleaning would have been appreciated as the bathroom showed signs of previous occupants. The breakfast was just adequate. I cannot recommend the coffee. The staff seem quite young and without any autonomy to make decisions. It did seem like its main function was to host weddings.

“Old, unrenovated”

Only hotel near the industrial area, it's clean and ok. But food is not good, no gym, the facilities in the room are old. Internet is ok. Expensive for being near an industrial area and without any good facilities. Quiet.
