“Best Location Hotel!”

First time in Cagayan de Oro with my family and definitely this hotel is the best to go. Centrally located between two malls where you can dine, shop and do your groceries. First time in Cagayan de Oro with my family and definitely this hotel is the best to go. Centrally located between two malls where you can dine, shop and do your groceries. The rooms are spacious, very clean with complete toiletries. Fast WiFi even in the rooms. Their complimentary breakfast got some good variety of foods to start your day. The staffs are very professional, friendly and helpful with our needs. From the security, to the front desk, dining room and cleaning staff are very attentive. Highly recommended!

Good location, but a pit pricey for a two star hotel. The staff are excellent and are attentive to your needs. The breakfast is a bit sparse with only two or three choices, besides rice. Good location, but a pit pricey for a two star hotel. The staff are excellent and are attentive to your needs. The breakfast is a bit sparse with only two or three choices, besides rice. Beware of the 2000 peso cash deposit that is required for "incidentals." I didn't even know of it until I arrived. WiFi is okay at 31 Mbps. The latency is very low so it "feels" faster. The one big annoyance with the WiFi is you are required to log in so many times. If you disconnect for any reason, such as leaving the property for a few minutes or your device "sleeping", you're required to log in again. Every other hotel I've visited "remembers" you for your entire stay. When your device reconnects, you don't need to log in again. The only other annoyance was the water... NO HOT WATER the entire time we stayed. The water was chilly. Not ice cold, but chilly. For the price paid, one would assume there would be at least warm water for showers.

This is my first trip to CDO. I had planned to stay at one of the two larger hotels but one was closed for renovation and the other was fully booked. So, I selected the 1A Express Hotel based on Travelocity Reviews and I have been pleasantly surprised. Here are some positives - Excellent front desk staff, very friendly, helpful and professional. They also have strong English communication skills - Comfortable bed, with decent bed linens - Very good Internet/WiFi - Nice workspace/desk - Bathroom is well designed and I like the non-slip flooring in the shower. The water pressure in the shower is not great, but it’s ok - The wall air conditioner works very well and has intuitive controls. It’s also relatively quiet for a wall unit - The refrigerator works well. Note, they leave it unplugged to save energy, so if you want to use it plug it in when you arrive. - Unlike many local hotels they have an elevator and it is quick, quiet and smooth - laundry service is Available and very reasonable. I had a bag of laundry done for about $5.50 USD. Now, be aware this is not a luxury hotels Hiwever, it is a clean, comfortable well maintained hotel. Honestly, on my next trip here, I will probably choose this hotel again, we’ve if the Margery more luxury hotels are available because I have been so impressed with the staff here
