Quirky hotel built inside a restored castle. The castle is open to the public during the day and is linked to the town museum, but at night it takes on a different atmosphere. There is an onsite restaurant belong to the hotel (Good) and another in the courtyard which is not (Poor) Close to town so not a problem. Did not use the spa facilities, but reports are good. Rooms are basic but clean, something that cannot be said for a lot of Georgian hotels, most look out onto the inner courtyard with a non-working fountain.

Best thing is the location - right on the territory of the ancient fortress. Best thing is the location - right on the territory of the ancient fortress. Which is also its disadvantage- from the car parking one needs to walk few steps up and a hundred meters to the hotel entrance, also there is no elevator in the building. Hotel is quite well kept and clean, including SPA area. Couple of SPA facilities were inactive during our visit, but it didn’t affect our relaxation. Perhaps because of the joint door between our room and the next one, there wasn’t sufficient sound insulation and we heard many sounds from the next room. If this is the quality overall thought the hotel rooms, then it should be improved. For breakfast there was a good selection of snacks, including truly delicious traditional hachapuri and tasty coffee. Recommended for stay.

I think this hotel is very comfortable for those people, who want to visit The Akhaltsikhe Castle and maybe some ancient places around. The hotel itself is new. When we arrived, we had a positive, welcoming, and supportive attitude from the receptionist. He showed us many rooms and gave us the time to think about which one was the most preferable for us. The room was clean, with a spacious balcony. The environment is ok. It is located very close to the main gates, the entrance to the castle. I really felt as If I was in a real ancient castle. I loved the sauna, you have a chance to choose rooms from the lower to the highest temperature. It smelled so good inside, and there is relaxing music when you enter. This hotel does not have an outdoor swimming pool, only a little one in the area of sauna rooms.
